  I don't know you, but I am so moved and full of joy by your post! Thank you SO much for sharing such an intimate memory with all of us.

  I witnessed so many things like this while working in the ICU and seeing many facets of death-more than I could ever relate here, and some so personal to the families involved they are indeed too sacred to be shared. Let me just say that my mother once visited me (from that other place not so far away) at perhaps the most crucial time in my life and saved me from making a horrendous decision. Rest assured Brenda, she will always love you and be looking after you...

  new years is almost upon us and hell has frozen over, oops, i mean the seahawks have stumbled their way into the playoffs.

  its time to set our mind to a get-together!

  Craig...as long as you have some Judds, Alabama, Diamond Rio, throw in some oldies but goodies, I think I COULD survive...(sigh)

  But ONLY if you agree to listen to some contemporary/traditional Irish music which is the BASIS for most of that stuff...

  Let me know, I would rather not fly solo-just NOT as much fun!

  i read on a jw only site today, that the back cover of the december 23 03 awake shows a picture of a man wrapping a publication as a gift to send.

  Can't wait to meet you all-anyone want to carpool from PTLD.? Bisous? PM me if you do. As far as food- I'm with SNG-I can speak it but have not ever really eaten French and would love to try it. However, I would go to ANY of those places as I just simply love good food.

  i have this fascination with holocaust stuff, the memorial, movies like shindlers list, the history channels programs they have.

  last night i watched the pianist.

  it was an incredible movie.

  Dear Jess,

  I am not a JW first of all, but I do share some of your intense fears of the Holocaust, especially of being burned. I have long had a fascination with that horrific time in history. I never ever used to believe in reincarnation or past lives, but it was suggested to me finally that perhaps I had actually lived or died as a Jew at that time. Strange to consider, but this is how I have been able to deal with my fears at times. I will never know for sure if that is the answer, but it helps me to give it some credence. As previously mentioned, I agree that prayer meditation and therapy are very helpful as well.

  ok, granted i am a newly-transplanted californian to portland....so maybe not a big deal to most.. but i'm told this is unusual for portland....snow has been falling all morning, there are about 3 inches now...it is a soft, feathery dry snow.

  i've already been for a few walks ... it is so quiet and muted out especially for a city.

  WOOHOO!!! In the 16 1/2 years I have lived in OR I have NEVER seen this much snow actually fall and STICK!!! Having been raised in MT, this is pure HEAVEN!!!

  My shepherd is originally from ID, so is "lapping it up too" LOL...don't which is more fun-watching the people or the critters!

  How old is your "soul"?

  i think i have mentioned this before, but i'm curious.

  my girlfriend and i had a discussion with some friends about how old they felt thier souls were.

  for myself, i have the feeling with alot of things in life that i have done them before.

  and no...I am NOT schizo! It is not "hearing voices" like that AT all! ( I have been around someone who was and hoo-boy that was scary...) Anyone else out there who feels like they have antennae or a satellite dish on their head? BTW...my brother is the same, but his gift is a bit different. He sees more of them than I do, and I hear them more than he does. We are both Scotch/Irish and were told by our Irish mother and maternal grandmother that we both had "The Sight" when we were very little.
