Lockheed: Limitless Energy?
by metatron inhttp://news.yahoo.com/lockheed-says-makes-breakthrough-fusion-energy-project-123840986--finance.html.
a prototype for testing in a year?
there have been a number of claims about fusion reactors in the past year but this seems the most bold.. .

The battery claim wasn't that it would run on a single charge for 20 years.. it was that it could keep being recharged over and over for 20 years... most batteries today only have a limited number of charge cycles before they stop being able to be charged effectively. Being charged in just a few minutes is awesome though.
The fusion prototype sounds very interesting. Fusion really would solve the worlds energy crisis, it would be clean and yeilds massive amounts of energy. There is a famous phrase however: "fusion technology is 30 years away... and always will be"

Tv.jw.org - Average Jdub reaction? I'm getting NOTHING but Silence!
by 4thgen inhello all, as you know, when jw tv was announced, our board went wild.
many comments, much speculation and alot of negative feedback on the quality, etc.
well, what has me concerned is that i have not heard a peep from any of my connections left in kingdom-land.

-Facebook is wanting real names
-Out of Facebooks 83 Million estimated duplicate account, I highly dount they're going to give a crap about a tiny religious group of ~8million members where only a fraction have facebook accounts, and an even smaller fraction have fake names.
-I am sure with all the take down notices of videos on YouTube that WT is being hurt by all the material online
-I would not be surprised if elders are being told to find their members online activities. Though how many elders are capable of this who knows.
-Elders who do know how to find people online are probably already doing so anyway.

I'm sure they will use this to spy on their members. It is quite scary really. I wonder if it's in part due to the jw.org push.. maybe this is their trial run for the a more national internet service. The internet after all is their biggest threat, if they can control the infomation or at least know who's looking at apostate material they can have a much greater control of their members. I can see it now: "use Jehovahs perfect internet service and stay spiritually clean".

Could they become a real cult?
by HowTheBibleWasCreated ini study religions.
i never call new world religons cults.
until they become like heavsn gate etc.. the jw religions is setting itself u for this.
-
jonza
I would say they already are a dangerous cult and have been for some time. There are JWs all over who are actively laying down their lives for this cult by refusing blood transfusions. Just one life lost on this policy is too many.
