Elders answer questions about the changes of the blood ban
by opusdei1972 insome days ago two elders visited my sister because she has not been attending the meetings more than one year.
this time she prepared notes containing watchtower past teachings about the blood ban so as to ask them for those changes, and it seems that the elders were also prepared for her past questions.
for instance she showed them that "albumin" was considered "under scriptural ban" in 1956 (read the page 20 of awake, september 8).

by Slidin Fast inthe paedophile/rape case in wales has attracted the interest of the the charity police.
it seems the clouds are gathering and the charitable status of the wt in the uk is in question.
not great for the dubs but superb for champions of truth and righteousness.. ironic isn't it.

July 2014--135 Years of the Watchtower
by Londo111 inhttp://www.mostholyfaith.com/bible/reprints/z1879jul.asp.
the first issue of the watchtower was july 1879, about 135 years ago.
it is interesting to skim the first issue, as well as the letter that russell sent out to the readers of the previous magazine he was involved with, the herald of the morning.. as to the split between russell and barbour, while the issue over the ransom seems a contributing factor, the first concern in russells letter is a monetary dispute.. the early issues of the watchtower were open to many viewpoints.

shepherding call
by DesirousOfChange inyou don't say why you are inactive.. if you can control your tongue and not blurt out anything you have learned about ttatt, then perhaps no harm in agreeing to a visit if you feel the need to be polite and cooperative.
no doubt, they will inquire as to why you are inactive.. don't you know it's the truth(tm)?.
don't you know the end(tm) is close?.

If you meet with them, you might slip and say something negative about the watchtower and it's doctrines and you're going to screw yourself.
These men are experienced in recognizing someone that might be an "apostate" and things will not go well with you..
Just fade and don't give them a reason to DF you.
Keep in mind you also have a wife and she will listen to these men more than she listens to you, the less you say the better.
Talking from experience .

Finally some good news for us nonbeleivers! :)
by suavojr inpope francis assures atheists: you dont have to believe in god to go to heaven.
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/pope-francis-assures-atheists-you-dont-have-to-believe-in-god-to-go-to-heaven-8810062.html.
in comments likely to enhance his progressive reputation, pope francis has written a long, open letter to the founder of la repubblica newspaper, eugenio scalfari, stating that non-believers would be forgiven by god if they followed their consciences.. responding to a list of questions published in the paper by mr scalfari, who is not a roman catholic, francis wrote: you ask me if the god of the christians forgives those who dont believe and who dont seek the faith.

It just shows us that men don't know their left from their right, whether it's the GB or the Pope or anyone one else that claims to "KNOW".
If there is a God in heaven let him come forward and enlighten us of what's going on........ but don't hold your breath on this one.

Pope Francis stops his car to bless disabled woman in Italy, BUT WHY CAN'T HE HEAL HER?
by suavojr instopping and telling that woman to stand up and walk!
that would have been something to say "grazie" what happened with all the nice accounts from the bible?
but if could at least get some of the members from the gb to do this..... .

Some have asked why the Pope does not heal......same reason that when you call on Jesus or God nothing happens.

2029 - the year NOBODY from 1914 will still be alive.
by EndofMysteries ingoing by the oldest verified by birth cert living person is 115 years old, in 15 years not only will not "millions now living will never die(1914)" be untrue, but even 1 single person now living will never die will be out.
i wonder what the spin will be then w/ the wt.
it's just around the corner, don't go to school, give us all your money and assets, it's happening real soon now.

They are good at recycling.....a new generation of brainwashed JW could care less of history and what was said and written.
New light always wins out.

JW.ORG to be the fulfillment of Matthew 24:14
by donuthole inthe organization is shifting away from printed literature in favor of their new jw.org website.
the website contains content that is not printed in literature.
kiosks, trolleys, and storefronts are being used to showcase the website.

I agree 100%.
GB knows the religion is a scam and that Hehovah has anything to do with them. Why waste money on literature when very few are paying for it. y.
By making life easier for JW's they might be able to retain them and less young people might leave the organization.
They will use some stupid scripture and some reasoning that Jehovah is directing them with whatever decision they make and rank and file will eat it up.
GB will continue to live like KINGS at the expense of the ones they are deceiving.
Of course that's religion in general...they all do that.

The Mormon church receive 10% tithing but i have met many members that because of a loss of a job or not collecting enough social security, the church will pay their rent or mortgage and provide food and try to find jobs for their members.
The watchtower, GB does not do a damn thing for their people.

We all lost all our "friends" once we pulled away. Wife left because of me being an "apostate"and was all alone.
Joined "meetup.com" and was able to connect with people that had same interest and now have many friends, more sincere than any witness in KH.
It will get better...Good luck to you
