1 John 5:1 says EVERYONE (not just special people) but everyone who believes that Jesus is the son of God is born of God. Born of God is the same thing as born again. The JW theology is so easy to refute I dont see how anyone can read the whole NT and still be one.

Giving the Pharisees a JW mindset to expose the folly of JWs' anti-blood arguments.
by Island Man inparallels have often been drawn between the pharisees' condemnation of healing on the sabbath, with jws' condemnation of life saving blood transfustions.
in a question on y!a, i attempt to hightlight the folly of jw anti-blood arguments and reasoning by equipping the pharisees with comparable arguments for refuting healing on the sabbath.
since the pharisees are portrayed as being wrong for condemning jesus' healing on the sabbath, then giving them jw-anti-blood-like arguments and reasoning should hopefully help jws to see that such reasoning used by them is wrong.

1 Pet. 3:21 is not teaching us that baptism is what saves us. Rather, it is showing us that the water symbolizes a spiritual cleansing through the power of the Holy Spirit gained through Christ's victory over death. It is the person's appeal to God that saves the soul--not the washing of water upon the body.

About time they cracked down, I see JWs in Catholic forums, Christian forums, Yahoo answers and other "apostate" blogs etc. They will disobey this, they are so arrogant thats why they cant resist talking to "apostates".

Studied with JW grandma for 3 years and went to meetings, I have now seen the light!
by yogosans14 inim new here and im 17, going to turn 18 in 1 week.
i studied with my gradma the bible teach book and went to meeting with her and other relatives (considering most my relatives are jw except my parents) and i believe in all of it because i never read the bible for myself.
after reading the gospels i started noticing contradictions in the jw doctrine like when jesus said many would dine with the patriachs in the kingdom of heaven (yet only 144,000 jws can) which would seem odd considering the fact he adressed this to more then the apostles.

@Faithful witness--God bless you and praise God for showing the Truth that Salvation isnt found in a demonation or organization (Acts 4:12) But by being Born Again.

Also look at this Scripture:It says WHEN he ASCENDED ON HIGH (into heaven) he led captive a captive of Hosts (The OT saints who were in Abrahams Bosom). The Bible says we are a TRI PART being, we are made in the image of the Trinity. Paul says we are Body, Soul and Spirit. Our Spirit does not die. The Jews at Jesus time (besides the saducees) believed in a afterlife. The Early Church strongly believed in an afterlife, the JW take out of context the passage in thesslonians that talks about the "great apostaty" to somehow prove they are the only "true" sect of Christanity.
Ephesians 4:8
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
8 Therefore [a] it says,
“ When He ascended on high , He led captive a host of captives , And He gave gifts to men .

Hi @Rattigan, Im sorry you feel that way, I disagree with your position strongly but thats ok God looks at the heart not how much doctrine we understand. I will put my own input on this subject:
Prior to Christ’s resurrection, Luke 16:19-31 shows Hades to be divided into two realms: a place of comfort where Lazarus was (heaven) and a place of torment where the rich man was (hell). Lazarus’s place of comfort is elsewhere called Paradise ( Luke 23:43 ). The rich man’s place of torment is called Gehenna in Mark 9:45 . Between Paradise and Gehenna (the two districts of Hades) there was “a great gulf fixed” ( Luke 16:26 ).
Jesus is described as having descended into Hades after His death ( Acts 2:27 , 31 ; cf. Ephesians 4:9 ). At the resurrection of Jesus Christ, it seems that the believers in Hades (i.e., the occupants of Paradise) were moved to another location. Now, Paradise is above rather than below ( 2 Corinthians 12:2-4 ).
Today, when a believer dies, he is “present with the Lord” ( 2 Corinthians 5:6-9 ).Also Luke 16 is not a parable, it mentions 2 people by name. Jesus parables never do. -

Thank you all for your replys. Haha @Johnman my grandmother tried to explain to me the "overlapping" generation and it made the Mormon doctrines look normal! And @Honesty the Baptist Church is a good denomation that sticks to the Bible :). I attend one sometimes with my gf, Ive been thinking of joining the Methodist Church, there biblically sound and they give to the poor alot (like the Bible says to which JWs ignore!!)

Hello all. Im new here and Im 17, going to turn 18 in 1 week. Also scriptures like John 20:28 was an eye opener, thomas calls him his Lord and God. The Scriptures were Jesus mentioned eternal punishment was to much to deny it. Once I just didnt believe in it anymore and knew all of it to be a lie I started searching but I never abandoned my faith in God (like many have here, no offense) but I thought the Catholic Church had it write since they are the "first Church" and eventually have realized the demonation doesnt matters, its faith in Christ what matters. I have studied the doctrines of "Christendom" vs the JWs and "evil Christendom" has won every single time. The doctrine of the trinity makes complete sense when you study it in depth. Genesis 1:26 God says Let US make man in OUR image. Also in Acts 5:3-4 the Holy Spirit is called God. He also speaks, intercedes, and is a believers adovocate. Jesus in 8:58 (in the greek) actually should read I AM not "I have been", that is why the Jews wanted to stone him!He claimed to be God many times even the NWT does a poor job of hiding it. I have been saved since 6 months I believe and I am born again and I will one day see the glory of Heaven (just what I believe I realize most here are atheist). Its been so freeing to be able to read the Bible without someone standind over your shoulder telling you what it "really" says. It all makes sense now and I understand it just fine without the watchcrap magazines.
Anywheres theres a lot more to say but I dont have the time to type it all. Hope you enjoyed me story.
