i'm assuming ya'll knew that....i was really suprised though, in reading the decision...that the phrase "in a nutshell" was used by the judges in writing the decision....i didn't know that was proper legalese.
i think that mcclintock is the best canidate for the job. only problem is that he doesn't have the name recognition that arnold does. i don't want to throw my vote away and i don't want to vote for someone i don't believe will be the best person for the job. as oct. 7th draws closer i will have to make up my mind..............

a. organizational changes?.
there's nothing in heaven or on earth that would make me go back. i felt stiffled and unallowed to be myself. i lived everyday unhappy. i lived everyday inside of a lie. i won't go back to that place in my life. not for anything. the borg can come to my front door and offer me millions of dollars, and i wouldn't and couldn't live that life again.

i was reading the oct.15, 1908 zion's watch tower this evening and came across a number of articles discussing the "vow".
the "vow" was recommended by the tower and said to be "part and parcel of our original baptismal vow--- a re-statement of it".
here's what christians were told they should "vow"..........."i further vow that, with the exceptions below, i will at all times, in all places, conduct myself towards those of the opposite sex in private exactly as i would do with them in public---in the presence of a congregation of the lord's people.
the hard and fast bethel rule is that if there are two unmarried members of the opposite sex in the room; the door must remain open. although you should see how small that crack of the door is. so yes i guess the vow is taken. but everyone knows not to go near a cracked door. and so it is pointless.

so i called one of the elders who handled my da'ing and told him so.
he had the audacity to tell me that my bapitism was accepted by jehovah.
i want to have the 'vow' that imade at 13 invalidated. so i called one of the elders who handled my Da'ing and told him so. he had the audacity to tell me that my bapitism was accepted by jehovah. how does he know that? was i supposed to be struck with lightening in the baptismal pool if it wsn't accepted? how does he know??????? but i bit my tongue and said nothing. anyway, he said that it isn't likely to happen. i said of course it isn't becasue then the floodgates would open and there would be a deluge of people who want it too. i was told that that wouldn't happen. again i bit my tongue. it isn't likely that this is going to happen. but i want to be stricken from ever having been in their ranks. i want for the society to know that maybe they don't do infant baptisms but isn't child baptism the same thing? he told me that he would look into and i am not holding my breath for this one. i just thought i would pass this along.

as i was participating in my daily duties of domestic slavery i got to ruminating about my mom, sister and brother who are shunning me (even though i am neither df'd of da'd).
i got to thinking to myself that i don't really miss them all that much.
in fact; i almost feel that i have lost the abundance of love that i once felt for them...well, except for my brother who i have never gotten along with anyway.
what i miss MOST is being some one's sister. and no i don't mean that in a spiritual sense. physical literal sister. i miss the closeness the shared memories..... everything that having a sister and being a sister means. my one sister is gone now (dec. will be 5 years since her passing) and my other sister is at patterson and married to an elder.... my brothers i don't miss as much cuz they were always mean to me.
other than that though i am good.

i hope that your mom gets what she needs done. but now you don't have to sit there if something were to happen and wonder if things could be different if you would have said something. and that wondering can sometimes be the most painful thing. so i'm glad you spoke up and brought up what needed to be brought up. it's hard but i'm proud of you

Note to male abuse victims: By speaking of the aggressor as 'him' and the victim as the 'woman', I am not trying to minimize your abuse and your personal situation. To be honest, we need more support for YOU. It's a shame that people don't recognize that partner abuse goes female - male as well.

that acctually made me cry reading that. my mom hit my dad all the time and no one thinks anything of it. i wonder if it is more damaging to see your father degraded like that or if it makes you feel more secure in him knowing that even when she was at her worst he never hit her back.....
