I thought everyone knew that knickers are good for four days:
day 1 - right way round
day 2 - back to front
day 3 - inside out
day 4 - inside out and back to front
THEN you throw them up the wall to see if they stick ;0)

A Pedophile in our local congo--WHAT SHALL I DO PUBLICALLY? mmmmm...
by wozadummy infor some months we have known of a pedophile in our congo who molested his daughters years ago and we were told this by the pioneer sister who used to get a lift from him and his wife but won't now go with them .
we hav'nt been for some time but are having our own seperate issue over this type of problem and spoke to elders who we reqested to see for ages ,and they finally came around and i questioned them about this pedophile and the societies stance on this sought of thing, whether anything has changed in policy and of course it has'nt and i threw it at them that they have not warned the congo of his past conduct and he has been seen at the hall trying to hug kids and of course the brothers and sisters think he is just a jolly grandfather type !!!!!!!
of course most are ignorant of the real him and i pointed out also that we can't go to the hall to worship along a filthy scum like this.

It is most probable that many Witnesses have a peadophile in their congregation and don't know about it. From 1978 to 1979 I was molested by my brother's best friend - I was 9- 10 yrs and he was 20-21.
I went public with this five years ago and reported him to the police. His PO knew and covered up for him, the other elders in his cong weren't even told. It was only when he was put on the sex offenders register that he stepped down from being an elder and the official line was that his wife was having health problems and needed his support (she too knew the real truth).
Even to this day it's only because my mom (non beleiver) and Dad (elder) tell others what happened that anyone knows. The abuser is still in good standing and the CO has tried and failed on many times to get my Mom to 'shut up'. There was no JC even though my Dad requested one - the line he was fed was that as the molestation had not involved him messing with my genetalia (although he had put his hands down the back of my knickers many times) then it was a crime but not a sin.
For me the saddest things to come out of this are that:
1. the police were too lenient - he got a caution - they wouldn't prosecute even though he admitted it.
2. The JW's covered it up - and my Dad is still 'waiting on Jehovah'
3. My brother no longer talks to me as he thinks I should have let sleeping dogs lie. -

Hello Deeskis
I too am a masochist - I manage a team of 60+ people in my job, have a husband, 2 kids and a house to look after and am studying part time for my degree. I am in my 4th year of 6 so have got my study time just about balanced now. The only advice I can give is to make sure you take the time you need to complete your assignments and not to keep putting others first. Other than that a little time out that's neither work, family nor study time is the least you deserve. -

Waking up to a gas hike of?
by Golf inok, folks, swallow this.
yesterday at the gas pumps, a litre of gas went for 94.9. this morning it was $109.9 a litre!
since 4.5 litres equal a gallon, how would you react to waking up and having to pay (an increase)in the range of 64 cents a gallon for gas?

sorry you guys but you don't know you are born - in the uk we pay around 90p(uk) for a litre of petrol around £4 per gallon - that's around $2.35 per gallon of which around 70% is paid to the goverment in tax.

"Brothers and sisters, the end has started. All those outside these walls are being destroyed." This reminds me of a few years ago - we had quite a sizeable earthquake (by UK standards) a few miles away and one brother from my Dad's cong shouted to his wife "quick get your coat on - Armageddon's started" not sure what use her coat would have been lol

sneaked at look of some of my elder dad's paperwork last year. loved the note for brothers to be aware of health and safety as the previous year the brother wearing the sandwich board reminding people to wear sun screen/hats etc had to be treated for heat stroke lol.

My friends grandson asked who lived above us - granddad replied "God does" then he asked who lives under us "The Austrailians" was the reply. "So are we God the Austrailans?" was the response. Out of the mouths of babes eh?
