Avishai or others.... please help!

i just got out of court today.

the judge mentioned that what i was accusing my ex-wife of was "parental alienation".

I just got out of court today. The Judge mentioned that what I was accusing my ex-wife of was "parental alienation". Yes, she is guilty of it. But how do I go about proving it? The Judge did not have the authority to do anything about it, YET!

I remember Avishai using that term months ago, in a thread I had started. Avishai, (or anybody else).... what would be my best way of showing to the Judge what she is doing? Does anybody have any experience in this matter?

I need to get my kids out of that situation as quickly as I can. We are scheduled to go to trial before September, so that my kids are stabilized before next year's school year. How do I ensure that what she is doing is made evident? I am considering filing another motion of contempt before the trial. My kids can't wait that long.

Any help is appreciated. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

too many trolls here lately, y'all need a giggle.

i got an email today with a bunch of funny bumper stickers but this one seemed so appropriate for this board.

seemed like it could apply to door knocking and trolling apostate websites.. okay, i thought i could post the image but i can't because i can't remember my password for ftp to my website (don't ask...lol) and i guess only pictures that can be plugged in have to be links to pics (makes sense now that i know it has to be on some web server).

i'm easy to influence, but once i'm back alone, i do what i wanted to do originally.

I think I have proven lately that I can be easily influenced.... sometimes I regret that..... sometimes I don't. The jury's still out on my latest situation.

great...now thats out of the way, i need you guys to do me a favour, i have been reading up on jws for the past three/four years, the people are pleasent enough and live fairly ordinary lives....some could say boring....(lets call up susie for a game of cards!!!!!

Five years later he did, sort of. (I just thank God it wasn't before I had left for good!! Who knows where I'd be now. )

But honestly, when I told him what I felt about his condemnation, he said, in a very matter of fact way, "I was only saying that to try to get you to come back." From the mouths of spiritual babes!!

His next silly defensive comment was that the only reason he is a Jehovah's Witness is because there is NOTHING better out in the "world". He was born and raised a JW. He knows nothing at all about the "world" other than their evil view of it. Poor guy!!

I think my brother is almost ready to break free, though. *crosses fingers*

As most people have said, some take issue with it being called "the truth". Hopefully you are just asking it that way out of habit, and not because you accept it as absolute truth.

For me, having my first child did it for me.

Two things in particular about having a child, actually:

1) I began to look at this child as being perfect in his innocence and beauty, as opposed to being "born a sinner" as Christianity in general teaches.

2) Since I was disfellowshipped, my brother told me that if I didn't get reinstated, my son would die at Armageddon, since I was supposedly the head of the household.

How beautiful life, especially my son, was beginning to look to me, contrasted by my brother's swift and unsympathetic condemnation to death for him, was too much. I was done.

Wow!! I really liked your post. Very well put. I especially liked this part, because, to be honest, it applied to me COMPLETELY when I was a JW.

But, typical of one of Jehovah's Witnesses, you internalized the comments and only saw them as they relate to your experiences. Empathy doesn't mean sympathy, empathy means looking through someone else's eyes. From one who is still in to another, I encourage you to acquire some genuine empathy. You will see the dear people in your Hall in a whole new light. They hurt because of those who do nothing to alleviate their suffering. Well, nothing much beyond platitudes, from what I have seen.

I had no freakin' clue what empathy was!!

what are some of the things you had to say to your kids you didn't think you'd ever have to say?

I thought I was going to have to speak to my four year-old the other day about her language. However, she showed me differently.

Madison, to her seven year-old brother, as she was pounding on the door with a fly-swatter - "Spencer, you get out of that bathroom right now or I'm gonna have to kick your butt!"

(I appeared at the end of the hallway to see what the commotion was.)

Before I had a chance to say anything she turns and looks at me, gets the biggest grin on her face and says: "I'm being mommy!!"

What the heck could I say to that? She was definitely being like her mommy. Freakin' hillarious!!
