Kind of looking for a quick update

i have been out of the religion since 1996. i used to come to former witness boards a lot in the distant past, and then i lost interest in the subject.

however, with a couple relatives still in and passing the 1914 one hundred year mark, i find myself looking to see what a modern jehovah's witness is believing.

could i get kind of an update on some things.

They might be driving me nuts

the "boasting session" last night included forcing the congregation to watch that stupid witnessing cart video.

then the brother handling the part discusses what a "powerful witness" is being given each time those carts roll out into public view.. experiences: had a nice conversation with a young man.

a woman took a tract.

Oh! I forgot to mention, the brother doing the part about using the carts kept emphasizing that a publisher must QUALIFY to do this SPECIAL work.

As the carts do have wheels, one cannot have newbies having delusions of their cart evolving into something more, say, like a chariot with a wheel inside of a wheel.

Jehovah's Witnesses Are "The Religion Of Hatred!" Why Would We Want To Return To Your Organization?

i saw some of the quotes coming out of the new assembly brochure "return to jehovah", why would anyone abused by the congregation decide to return for more hate by the congregation?

jehovah's witness are the first one's who tell you "we are god's organization because we are the only religion that has the love jesus christ spoke about!

", that's a big whooper!

my husband is awake,yay!

we haven't been to meeting since february, although we attended the memorial.

when jws have called us we say we are amazing, everything is awesome much to their shock.

A Christian always bears in mind Jesus’ words at Matthew 6:33: “Keep on, then, seeking first the kingdom and [your heavenly Father’s] righteousness, and all these other things will be added to you.” Among genuine Christians, those without additional education are not looked down upon or treated as inferior, nor are those with extended education ostracized or dismissed as high-minded. The apostle Paul wrote: “Who are you to judge the house servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for Jehovah can make him stand.”—Romans 14:4.
Jesus reflected this balanced view. He did not despise those who were “unlettered and ordinary,” nor did he hold back from selecting well-educated Paul to accomplish a powerful evangelizing work. (Acts 4:13; 9:10-16) In either situation education must be kept in its place, as the following article will show.

I could never understand why the conventions and assemblies had orchestral songs, but at the KH, we only got piano.

The violin in the commercial is identical.

The reality is that the Borg IS CAUSING anxiety in so many of its members.

I love brain research where they show the cause and effects via actual scans, instead of the anecdotal BS we've been fed for so long.
