My observation is that these are not older people. Flash forward 30 years or so and see if you're happy or even able to do menial labor. I suspect not. But I forgot that the new system will be here by then and you won't have to worry about your future.

I'm 70 years old, do not own my own home, have no benefits, have arthritis, expensive meds, no degree, my car needs repairs, my spouse is delusional, we cannot ask our children for help (I feel guilty for having had children in this evil system instead of devoting more of my life to WTS, and I realize that my present circumstance is undoubtedly because of not fully having followed WTS instructions and should have had a vasectomy) as they have left the truth and I am dutifully shunning them.

Can you please send one or two elders over to show me an appropriate article to read?

One of my main problems with the WT: A very irresponsible organization

one of my main problems with the watch tower and, more specifically, with the governing body is the level of irresponsibility seen when lives of people are involved and their unapologetical attitude when people suffer due to their absurd policies.. how many people were imprisoned or killed for refusing to perform civil service in exchange for military service?.

we do not know, but it does not matter, because the society does not even apologize for the harm their blinking light caused.. how many people died or contracted illnesses due to the prohibition of vaccines?.

we might never know, but an apology is not on the menu.. how many people died for refusing (or disfellowshipped for accepting) fractions of blood when it was against the rules?.

As a kid, the wife of my Dad's best friend died due to refusing blood. (At an Int'l Convention, no less.)

My ex's best friend died due to refusing blood during childbirth (the baby also died - never heard the cause of the baby's death).

Add to that the 6 JW's that I personally knew well who suicided.

Irresponsible does not even begin to describe "Our Mother."

If there were a death penalty for abusive mothers, this mother should be executed, resurrected, and executed over and over.

Actually, what stood out during Splane's reference to this Brother Smith who adjusted his view about the Pyramid, was the comment:

"He let reason win out over emotion."

Does that not mean that JW's, then, should start reasoning FOR THEMSELVES on a teaching or practice that does not make sense?

The other thing during his droning on about types and antitypes, he poses the question

"Who decides if the Word of God is silent?"

We should imitate Albert Schroeder, who said "We need to exercise great care if it is not in Scripture."

Same point then, when does an individual need to accept personal responsiblity for their beliefs and actions (or inactions - actually doing good to your neighbour, refusing blood, etc)?

Splane indeed says this, and that Br. Whatever adjusted his view because of the 1928 WT.

Brothers are supposed to adjust their long-held views?

Gustav, buddy, you need to explain when someone, according to GB Splane, is supposed to use THEIR OWN POWER OF REASON, but otherwise just "All of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not."

The BS Two Witness Rule - John 8

many posts have been made regarding the total bs 2 witness rule in order to protect molesters.. did not jesus dispense with this bs rule in john 8:17,18?.

i.e., the father witnesses all, therefore, only one human witness is required?.

WT Aug 15, 1987 p. 27 blithely says: "At least two witnesses are required to establish a charge of wrongdoing. "

And yet then, it totally ignores the very next verse: "I am one who bears witness about myself, and the Father who sent me bears witness about me.” "

Jesus had said in verse 12 that he was the light of the world.

In verse 13, the Pharisees challenged him, as he had no witness - " So the Pharisees said to him: “You bear witness about yourself; your witness is not true.” "

And yet Jesus' response was that because his Father bore witness, that that amounted to 2 witnesses.

So, if none other than Jesus proffered that his Father was able to bear witness in such an affair, then for heaven's sake, why is that enough for all of the child abuse taking place, and having taken place?

2012 WT financial statements in Britain

it seems it is possible to get some financial statements from some countries.. it's interesting seeing how they must report in what way they are a charity.

many spin doctoring and word games to make it appear they are doing charitable things.. also interesting was how the trustees were consenting to reducing the reserves and sending them to another country, probably wt usa it looks like.
