Basic Bible and Religious Vocabulary the Watchtower Never Teaches
by CalebInFloroda inwhen i began formal study of religion and biblical analysis it was like peeling off layer after layer of dark matter, sticky and putrid that had stuck over my eyes and ears and mouth.
i learned that under the watchtower one only builds a widening gap between yourself and the world of biblical academia and scholars.
i used to think i knew a lot because i learned to quote a few scholars or lexicons as a witness.

JW ended a relationship with me
by V1922 inmy jw boyfriend just ended a year and a half relationship with me.
it came out the blue and i'm deeply hurt by this because we were so compatible.
he did it right before the big annual gathering he is presently attending.

I dont know where he goes but after reading all the post and other information, this religion seems very disturbing. I thought they were nice people and I don't want to blanket judge anyone but he has some serious problems stemming from his upbringing.
After Scientology, this is the worst cult on the planets (Earth and Xenu).
This religion messes up virtually all of its members.

Consider yourself lucky that you did not marry a Dub, and especially have children together.

JW Hatred and Elders Apathetic Manners Drove Me Here! Why are JWs fooled in to thinking the WTS Cares?
by Judas Maccabee infor years i've been screwed with by some very bad people, people satan would kick out of his organization because even the devil might let up on evil just to allow someone to catch their breath.
with the jwism's bad people move up while good people move down or leave the kingdom hall for good.
i was talking with two elders who said "you know if you return to the kingdom hall, jehovah will bless you and these people will stop screwing with you.

Catch your breath and agree with "Proceed With Caution."
Sounds like a typical relationship that becomes toxic, more so because of the Borg (WTS) than anything else.
There are numerous questions that need to be answered:
- Do you love your wife? Does she love you?
- Would you love each other if the Borg influence were removed?
- If you were DF'd / DA'd, do you have anyone still-in that you would really miss?

With all due respect, I think the money could have been better spent elsewhere.
On this thread, https://www.reddit.com/r/exjw/comments/3edm0i/here_are_some_traffic_stats_for_the_billboard/
I posted these comments:
One would very conservatively guesstimate a MINIMUM of 4,000 unique visitors over the 4 weeks.
Less than $1. per unique.
Somewhat better than WTS' 10,000 hours per recruit. (Even at $10. per hour, think $100,000. per new recruit ) ( never mind, the real hours wasted, and the fuel and food costs, elder policing, etc. )

Pathetic to see such a glaring grammatical mistake in the message. Try again.
It's actually impressive that they use correct grammar (although it seems to have been disappearing over the past 20 years).

How do jw's explain vestigial organs in humans?
by purrpurr ini only recently became aware of cases of people being born with tails.
having looked into it this is a evolutionary leftover and we have many other examples within each one of us like the appendix, wisdom teeth, and muscles to move the ears.
plus many more, this seems to me to prove evolution completely.

Why being disfellowshipped from the Jehovah's Witnesses cult is a good thing
by Finkelstein inone of the many reasons are people are free to enhance their intellectual growth through pursuing education, something the wts demeaned for very much of its existence.
education is a good thing for humanity for knowledge can and does help resolving some of the problems mankind has to endure.
new discoveries in health and medicine.

For survivors who discover TTATT, being DF'd can be a blessing in disguise.
For those who lose family, financially, emotionally, it can be horrific.

Article 16.
(1) Men and women of full age, without any limitation due to race, nationality or religion, have the right to marry and to found a family. They are entitled to equal rights as to marriage, during marriage and at its dissolution.
(2) Marriage shall be entered into only with the free and full consent of the intending spouses.
(3) The family is the natural and fundamental group unit of society and is entitled to protection by society and the State.
Article 18.
Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance.Article 20.
(1) Everyone has the right to freedom of peaceful assembly and association.
(2) No one may be compelled to belong to an association. To a degree, WTS enforces violations of Article 16.
However, they definitely violate Article 18, i.e. Dubs CANNOT change their religion.
As well, WTS sets up congos as associations, whether incorporated or unincorporated (the latter preferentially).(Article 20)
No apologist could ever convince a reasonable person that a Dub is not "compelled" to remain in the/an association of Dubs.
