I think the billboard idea is awesome. If anyone ever wanted to start a fund to buy space on a billboard for those kinds of questions, I'd be the first to contribute!

after reading megadudes review of what he thought of the movie, i really want to see it now.. gore doesn't really bother me in movies, like braveheart, saving private ryan etc.
i hate the slasher movies for the sake of gore thou.. i guess i am the type of person that is so curious about everything, that even if it is gorey, i would want to know what jesus went thru, as painful as it may be to watch.. but should you let your children see it........ since i havent seen it , i was wondering for those who have seen it,,,,,,,,would you let your kids see it?.
what age,,do you think is appropriate ?
My friend went to see it the other night, and she was shocked to see a couple of kids (7 or 8 years old) sitting right behind her. She said it was much to violent for kids, even for some adults. She said she definitely wouldn't let a kid under 15 see it.

i have never been a jw nor anyone in my family, so i feel like i don't quite fit in with all of you, but hope you'll welcome me.
i have done extensive research and study of the watchtower teachings.
Welcome Nan! I've never been a JW either, but my mom got sucked in about 7 years ago. You've come to the right place, these guys are the experts. I hope you will have some positive stories about your son and daughter-in-law in the future, and that what you learn here can help them.

as i've said before i'm very lost and torn and confused.
part of me still believes in the things that i was taught as a jw.

(((Joysome))) I'm so sorry you're going through this with your mother. I've had some unpleasant conversations like that with my mom, too. My mom tried to suck me into the JWs, and at one time I thought they made a lot of sense. But then you start to research sites like this one, and there are too many red flags for them to be the "truth". You sound like a good person, don't let this religion beat you down. i,m new to the site, my friend mouthy and i have knowen each for 37 years we lived in montreal ,now in ontario.i was a weak jw and she was sent to me to make me a strong one,i don,t know that it work, but we are good friends.and she is still helping me ,to get on this line.
i met some of you last week end at swiss chalet,hi gang.
