  This is exactly the kind of crap I've been afraid of. My mother knows that I'm opposed to the JWs and will never be one. I was wondering how long it would be before they suggested that unbelieving family member could be a danger to their spiritual strength. Can anyone bring up a scan of this article? I'd like a copy for my records.

  I read this quote in a WT publication, but now I can't find it. It basically said that in order to be a JW you must agree with ALL of what the society teaches. You cannot disagree with any of it. Is this ringing a bell with anyone? If you can tell me where to find it, I'd greatly appreciate it.

  is autologous transfusion (transfusion of one's own blood) now allowed for jw's?

  My conversation with my pioneer mother

  as freedom96 noted on an earlier post, my mother is in town.

  we have had a situation this week concerning his son, which he well elaborate on at a later date, and i don?t feel it is my place to relay the story first.

  suffice to say for the moment that we are both hurting immensely from what has been said, and it has brought on some pretty strong emotions.

  I've had several confrontations like that with my mom. Luckily, I've never been a JW, so she isn't ordered to shun me. I think I actually had her thinking at one point, and then when she went to ask her elder some questions, he told her to stop talking about it with me! Total brain control. All you can do is give her the unconditional love that she will NEVER find in the Watchtower. I will say a prayer for you.

  I believe it is in the 1974 August (1st or 15th, not sure) issue of the WT. And yes, it's not listed in the index. Convenient for them, huh? Nasty cult.

  At what age should JW children start going to the KH?

  did it bother you to see new born babies go to the kingdom hall?

  only a few days/weeks old, and already at the kingdom hall.

  the baby crying throughout the meetings.. at what age would it have been reasonable to bring a child to his first meeting?

  My aunt dragged my little cousin (when he was about 4 years old) to the KH or some stupid assembly when he would be deathly sick and running a fever! That is cruel.
