Oops, Skally and I posted the info at the same time, lol! Very interesting stuff, wouldn't think a man of Gawd would want to nuke Americans, but I guess it takes all kinds.

I'm sick of being mistaken for a prostitute!
by Aztec inthis has happened far too many times now for it to just be happenstance.
over the last year or so i've had at least 10 guys try to "pick me up" while i am out walking.
if it only happened at night it would be one thing but, it's happened early in the morning as well.

Forget Mace spray em with perfume!.. that will get them in so much hot water at home
Hey Xan, didn't mom do something like that once to a guy in the neighborhood who kept bothering her? I thought she had put on lipstick, went up and kissed his collar and sprayed him with perfume. As far as I can recall, didn't his wife beat the crap out of him for it too?

Oh, that's the worst! I used to live in Seattle (Sea-Tac, actually, close to the airport) and no matter what I was wearing, I'd have men pulling up next to me, and they never say anything, just motion for you to get in the car. Let me tell you, it scared the holy living piss out of me! I didn't have a car, and so I walked everywhere! I soon started taking the bus all the time, even if it was to go a block away. I would suggest that if you are able to do it!!!!

You Live in California when...
by AlanF inyou live in california when.... 1. you make over $250,000 and you still can't afford to buy a house.. 2. the high school quarterback calls a time-out to answer his cell phone.. 3. the fastest part of your commute is going down your driveway.. 4. you know how to eat an artichoke.. 5. you drive your rented mercedes to your neighborhood block party.. 6. when someone asks you how far something is, you tell them how long it will .
take to get there rather than how many miles away it is.. .
you live in new york city when.... 1. you say "the city" and expect everyone to know you mean manhattan.. 2. you have never been to the statue of liberty or the empire state building.

I grew up in CA, and the only part of the list that is true for me is the artichoke thing. Of course, it all depends on where in the state you grew up, and I grew up in the high desert in CA ( in Hemet and surrounding areas; we lived in a lot of campgrounds in the middle of nowhere) which mostly had small towns and cities exactly like the midwest, but with less greenery.

I absolutely abhor those pants!!! I thought the "crack" issue was solely for plumber jokes until those pants came out, and now it's considered uncouth to point out to a person that their ass crack is showing. What are people thinking? I like mens pants that are semi-low slung, as in not around the rib cage, but to see women with their bellies hanging out and their asses making these weird bisected bubbles is too much for me to handle! I understand the need to feel liberated about ones body size (I'm no toothpick, that's for sure!), but those pants take it a little too far.

How come it still hurts?

Congrats on the book, JS!!!! I think that, as SFJim said, it IS like losing a loved one, and the hurt never truly goes away, but it does lessen with time, especially when you no longer have fresh reminders of the pain. I think people in general have a hard time facing their own hypocrisy, and that's just human nature. But, since the Organization is so against human nature, I think they are occasionally more prone than others to judge without taking a good look at them selves. BTW, I am in OH too, feel free to PM me.

My boss seems to really like me, and I like her! I only have four co-workers too! The pay isn't anything to get excited about, but the other perks make up for it!!!! Now, off to bed, so I might be a little more coherent in the morning!!!!
