the more i learn about jw's the harder it is.

Let me tell you his this KM affected me.
When I started knowing the TTATT (As in ERV and Chromosome 2 and israel finkelstien's acheology etc) I was in a serious relationship with the JW sister in the Philippines who would become my wife. The day I left... after our engagment.... her uncle (The Secretary of her congregation) wanted my records... I was expecting this and knew what to do....
I came back to canada and did my first aux pioneer month (Easy to forge)
Next I attended 75% of meeting and did mikes like a slave while laughing at the bible highlights for 1-2 kings. (It is so biased anyone should see it)
Fainally 8 months later i returned for a month to get married and found my records arrive... now the elders were all happy because they got ana emial recomendation for my Secretary in canada. (Wow that wasn't hard idiots! What if I was a killer or something ) That is not screening
To be truthful we were not even married in the KH.... it was cheaper to have the wedding and reception at same place.
Once we said I do however the elders all changed towards me here..... before it was like... pioneer... forget women... F children... etc/... once I married then they wanted very much to encourage me... well I went inactive 6 months to avoid it... not I find the elders ... are MY toys to rule... they are so bent on helping a husband-wife-child I can milk them dry for leaving us alone.... lol... soon to end I know... I know 3 out of 6 of the elders here don't belive anymore... I sent them a DVD ... in the mailbox of ERVs
the only way i can sit through the meetings is due to having my tablet and connection to this forum!.
since awakening, i can't believe how much i cringe each and every meeting when i hear all the propaganda and garbage spewed out from the bible and the society!.
i only cope by venting on here.. (plus it is so easy when sitting at the back of the hall or on the sound control box... hahaha).
Everyone uses tablets and smartphones now. At the RC half the crowd had them for the JW Library program as welll as pdfs of the WT and Program. Myself and wife included. I like readinging the Kingdom Interlinier version when they use a NT verse since the program does this. It's wrong 99% of the time.

The first verse is actually in 1 John ... Do you hate a fellow JW?
The second verse (Is. 1:18) is unrelated... This a is a famous born again scripture though.
Luke 15 argues against shunning
Is. 55 is unrelated and I can't see how this even applies.
1 corinthians 5.... aha finally a verse that seems to be about shunning... are you a: sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler? If not then it doesn;t apply.

Seperate those two and I agree to the first part. Int he movie the father although being in general a good guy is a bad father. Slamming bbiles down on the table and screaming for a family study at the beginning is enough to make any non JW turn it off.
To sort continue this father refuses to disclose his personal history to his family until his son is in a totaly unrealated problem..... actually to be honest it's dad since his son after he refuses the contract from the foolish rap company peombably could make a good lving if he didn't listen to his 'new dad'... This movie is structured into a proganda layers... once you see then (I names 3 layers)... use them against the original message.

we found some people who were happy to welcome us into their homes, even offering us food and drink.. sometimes, they would flag us down and ask for the magazines, walk miles to the kh meetings, come to our defense if someone got ugly or rude.. now, jw's are either routinely ignored or outright vilified.. no one respects them anymore.. sad.. .
Yes i attended a day of the RC yesterday. Had a very big touch of 'the old days' when I was 5-10 years old. But it faded when I glanced over at my cousins who used to be my playmates. the youngest is 32!... It's all a childhood dream we grow up with. Family.. friends.. Big Jah in the sky...

here's a question for all you bible students out there, both critics and apologists: in 1513 bce the israelites were said to be in the wilderness, without food, so jeh gave them miraculous manna to eat.
exodus 16:35 says they ate it for 40 years.
the funny thing is that a year after they began eating manna, the bible book of leviticus, which wts says was written in 1512, records a mind-numbing litany of rules and regulations regarding sacrifices that were to be made at the tabernacle, which had just recently been put into use.
The problem is easy to solve. Both these texts were written down after the exile. One was a text about ancestors in Egyot and leaving Egypt (Which many exilic Jews did after the Babyloian captivity (Jeremiah's crew went to Egypt) .... The Food laws are a mix however the oes in Levitcus were written by fairly well educated and well paid priests in the Persian Era... Maybe even more likly the early Hellenistic Era of 300BCE or so. Joshua contains accounts of priestly origin too... circumsicion... the food verse you mentioned... and dividing of land which spans the middle chapters.
In my reasearch I have found there is no complete Torah in history until 263BCE... The Septuigent. That was the likely point the texts were redacted together into the spiderweb they are today.
