bible describes atheism as a condition of the heart and is all about seeking what is ephemeral, not acting with insight.
(psalm 14:1, 2) thus it rightly says the whole world is lying in the attraction of what is ephemeral.
(wicked one is not a correct translation.1 john 5:19) thus even believers who pray to god (for material blessings) are actually atheists as they are not trying to be poor in spirit.
The world is full of Atheist (Not really more then half the wrold beleives the Hebrew Bible)
There are MORE SECULARISTS now... not necessarly Atheists.
The answer is evidence... Provide some? No.... then i'm happy with my evidence from biology and archeology that says the bible is wrong. (But a great lieterary work)

I don't believe in the god of the bible or most gods of the world. As such I can say i'm and Athiest. However as to a Panthiestic view I am not sure. I don't think a god created life here and even if one did create it they surley did not guide it into frail humanity.
On a scale of 1-7 (Dawkins scale) 7 being absolutely sure these is not God and 1 saysing he exists for sure I would be a 5. (Dawkins rates himself a 6)
I am however spiritual as I do believe in Cosmic Balance and Visions of the future etc .

i like so many americans left my parent's house as soon as i could (age 19).

2. What religion do I belong to.... good question I give myself 4 years... lol
the oldest in tact bible found is the codex voronicus, (miss spelled) and the oldest writings ever found were the greek septuagint written by jews in alexandria.
both of these collections of writings included the apocryphal and other writings like chapters and other verses of daniel not included in the jw bible.
so the question one must ask, is if your a bible believer how can you just throw out these writings, because reading these additional writings will change your understanding of what you have learned?.
Good point. (Just a correction the oldest biblical text actually dates to around 600BCE... It is lines of the priestly belssing un Numbers 6.)

Chronicles-Ezra/Nehemiah are incomplete without 1 Maccabees and many schoolars note that they were a collection. together.
The Book of Enoch is quotes in Jude and the comoslogy of Revelation follows Enoch.
2 Maccabees is alluded to in Hebrews
