  committeechairman, why are you here? this "religion" is a cult!!!! you can't deny this fact. are you like me? going thru the motions.....stuck in a place where you can't get out of or here to taunt the people who are out or want out.

  I just want to live my life, free to believe what i want. celebrate what i want....and i guarantee. if an elder approaches me and questions me. I have no problem telling to go fuck themselves.

  you see, you are here for a reason....i suggest you don't sit on the fence and play both sides. Man up and choose which side your on. if your up there preaching, you are lying to yourself and blood guilty for lying to the people.

  Grow a pair and quit being a pharisee.

  Since learning TTATT

  so, i was reading combating cult mind control....and i was just thinking: since i've been doing research and learning about the false doctrines of the wtbs and others who are still asleep.

  the more i accept that all is not right, the more i see the depression that many in the org.

  are going through, the more i see the "human" side of things, the more i compare the average uber dub to the average mainstream christian.....the more i recognize how this cannot be jah's organazation.

  congrats on learning TTATT.....you did not mention if you are married or have children. if so, you will have rough waters ahead. before trying to teach the zombies. i recommend listening to this segment on youtube. it is cultfreeradio.

  Why is it wrong for Christians to celebrate Christmas?

  this was inspired by terry's thread.... it is something that raises many questions about the jw belief system.. .

  for one thing - the bible certainly explains all the details of the christ birth.

  it certainly does not tell people to avoid celebrating it with feasts, customs, etc.

  Piñatas I read with interest the article “The Piñata—An Ancient Tradition.” (September 22, 2003) It left me with some questions. The ties to false religion are well-documented. But the article seemed to take the position that as long as it doesn’t bother someone’s conscience, it is OK. What about birthdays and holidays such as Christmas?

  Those of you stuck in with kids&question about spouse

  it is killing me now that i am awake, having kids in school and having to be jws.

  birthdays, christmas, thanksgiving, having to go home or be left out because their teachers know they are witnesses and/or have kids from the school in their class or grade.

  it's a small town so the other jws in the hall know what's going on since their kids are in the same school.

  How did you feel when you got baptised? Seriously....

  so recently, several over-righteous ones in the cong were discussing "how amazing it felt when they got baptised".

  statements like "how awesome did it feel as you got raised back out of the water?!".

  or the classic "i felt so close to jehovah as i came out of the pool"!.

  Just saw the new JW.org sign on the local KH sign

  i work about a block from the local kh and i notice there was no jw.org sign on it.

  i said to my wife are they not following the cults rules on this.

  will just yesterday as i was driving home from work there it was on the corner of the kh sign jw.org it was about 1 foot x 1 foot in size.

  like one the way out,,,i turn my head the other way. i get a disgusted feeling inside me, and think of the worst mistake i ever made in my life. shite, there it goes again...that feeling. Got to stop thinking about it.

  this cult will destroy my marriage and family. It sucks, knowing a train is coming down the tracks and no way to get off.

  The wrong one....i should have never got baptized...It was/is the biggest mistake of my life. I feel it will eventually kill my marriage.

  why? because my wife is so brain washed!!!!!!!!!!!!! it is a sad situation, knowing the enevitable will happen. just trying to enjoy my marriage now.

  she will never come around!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it sucks.

  wanted to say hello to you all.

  i am new to the forum and just wanted to introduce myself.

  i was raised a witness, never baptized (yay) and am married to a lovely baptized witness of jehovah.. i had been trying to get back into it due to both our families being j dbs but just never could get it into my heart.

  Welcome to the board....it is a tough road. first question you need to ask yourself is: how much of a real JW is your wife? Having a kid could tilt it in either direction.

  Good luck and make your stand now....later will be too late
