  Is The Bible REALLY The Word Of The FDS?

  i know this will have already been covered on the forums but ... upon visiting a jw relative in hospital, they requested i brought their bible in (the gideons bible supplied by the nhs clearly being inadequate and not supporting wt fantasy).

  i dutifully went to their house and grabbed what i thought was a bible (an easy mistake to make assuming the nwt is actually a bible).

  it seems i couldn't have got it more wrong, resulting in one horrified jw and one very confused (albeit gorgeous) midwich.

  So which bible did you take? the black shank or the silver shank? here is the funny thing......if they see you using the black shank, they will give you a look like your an apostate.

  there like wolves who turn on themselves, even my wife questioned me when i decided to use the black shank instead of the silver shank.

  i was like WTF....this org produced both. there shouldn't be a diffence right. she is sooooooooo blind.

  anywho, i use neither....i use the American standard bible.

  it's more accurate. I hate this cult of a religion

  it has been 2 and a half years since my departure from the religion.

  i was told by my parents from the start that i would never speak to them until i returned to jehovah dog.

  a few months later they told people they hoped i died before the end came, then all of this culminating in them telling my inactive / fading sister that they don't consider me a child anymore and they have given me up to satan.

  the sad thing is, these people are so blinded by they dillusions. they would turn from family and cling to a golden calf.

  your better off not having them in your life.

  I truely hate this cult of a religion. i think it will be the ruin of my marriage eventually. like being on train tracks and not being able to get off and the inevitable happens.

  No More Literal Peaceful Animals in Paradise?

  there is a quote in the new june episode of jw broadcasting, which says isaiah 11:6 applies to people inside the congregations now who have their personalities transformed.. in the 1980's and 1990's, when i attended meetings all the time, i always heard them say this scripture had a literal fulfillment and the animals will be at peace with one another.. here is the scripture:.

  isaiah 11:6 (nwt): the wolf will reside for a while with the lamb, and with the young goat the leopard will lie down, and the calf and the lion and the fattened animal will all be together; and a little boy will lead them.. after hearing the quote, i did a search on jw.org, and i found this statement regarding that scripture:.

  Governing Body

  hello,.

  i am currently in a discussion with a jw about the governing body.. i have read alot of articles regarding it, however whenever i bring up what i have read, i am refuted with scripture, such as acts 15, where they say there was a governing body, who sent out elders and men etc.. does anyone have a website that i may not know of, that has answers to what they refute with?

  or any help here or good thought provoking questions to respond with would be much appreciated.. thank you kindly.

  if your newly baptized Jehovah hears your prayers more. so does that me he doesnt give a bleep about what the GB prayes for

  a visit to my ophthalmologist yesterday.

  he told me i have 22-20 vision, so .

  i ask if i have 20-20 vision why do i need glasses to read the news paper.. he laugh and told me most people need glasses after they reach 45 years of age,.

  mr. geoffrey jackson hosts this month's propaganda-fest, and uses a favourite catchphrase of the org - "by extension" - to get out of the dead-end which the scriptwriters had put him in.

  he quotes matthew 10:22 - "and you will be objects of hatred by all people on account of my [jesus'] name; but he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved.".

  one thing that makes me laugh at the brainwashing times is when the sheeple replace Jehovahs name for Jesus's name in there comments.

  i am in awe sometimes, i have pointed this out to my wife, but it just goes right over her head or she just doesn't want to see it for what it really is.

  i am not sure, but one thing for sure.....it sucks

  so she is expecting me to use my vacation time from work to attend the d.c. waste 3 days of dribble from the cult.

  she knows how i feel, if it wasn't for our kids having to go...i would seriously consider not going. i need to be there to protect my kids from the drivel. in between breaks and when were alone....i tell them what they hear at the assemblies is bunk.

  i am hoping she will hear something that will make her question, and the seed is planted.

  I still go to this cult because of my wife, she guilts herself into going. she know exactly how i feel and i have told her on many occasions;

  1. I go to support her, because she feels it's important to her.

  2. I have told her on many occasions that, if i could turn back time and never get involved in this cult i would do it.

  But, like i said....95% of the time we have a great relationship and very rarely talk about the cult.

  in the famous words of CHER: IF I COULD TURN BACK TIME!
