They have to remind themselves which cult they belong to. it has moved so much to the JW..ORG they don't know who they belong to .

'Jehovah's Witnesses' Label Added to Trolley
by cofty inyesterday i noticed on four trolleys i passed (and had a long useful conversation at one but more on that later) they had added a label identifying themselves as jehovah's witnesses.
it was just a simple printed piece of white card stuck on next the logo.. is this a new requirement?
was it a directive from hq or i wonder if the local council require it..

Sir82, this is my wife. she believes everything is from there god to the gb monkies. it is hopeless. at this point in time i have pretty much stopped talking to her.
just coexisting in the same house. it is a moot point. when ever she goes to the meeting or service. she comes back a different person. very strange and scary....a glazed over look in her eyes. she has gotten worse now that her halls mergered. like she needs to prove a point.
just a little back history. we have been together for 30 years and married 28 yrs. she was born into the cult, but when i met her she was not involved. we celebrated everything unilt 2008 when i got the bright idea that we need god in our live. she said she will not go anyplace but the jw's. i thought....how bad could they be. man was i wrong. anyways, i got involved and became a MS around 2011 and woke up in 2013 after the infamous artilce about following them no matter what. right then i knew i needed to get out with my family. she dug in her heels. i stopped going in during 2014 and have never gone back.
she knows how i feel about the cult, our boys have no interest in the cult.
as i stated my wife will never wake up, it will take a miriacle and right now i have a hard time believing in god. so its hopeless.

JW views on saving and retirement
by neat blue dog inprobably one of the most common causes of cognitive dissonance many jws face is the choice to plan for retirement.
if you're a good jw, then you should believe that the end will be coming soon, surely before you retire.
that's what i did when i was younger, blowing decades that could've been better spent because i believed the end was coming, so any planning was a waste of time.

Even my totally brainwashed wife agrees with saving for a retirement and making sure our son's get a college education!!
I had an experience not too long ago that was kinda funny and sad at the same time. we were at a funeral, and a witness man I know introduced me to his son, whom is 19. I said nice to meet you and the next big question.....so where do you go to school now that you graduated ( not sure if he actually graduated or got his GED) the kid said he just works and before he could say anything else. some super brainwashed dude says....he doesn't need to go to school. he took duel credit in high school. i was like WTF does that mean? that doesn't mean he has a degree i thought to myself. but i just looked at this idiot and walked away.
and thought to myself...my 20 yr old is a Junior in college. HORAY

My wife is the most dangerous kind of JW. she believes everything they teach and i mean everything without question and will follow what they teach without question. even to the point of taking a pill if instructed.
of course she has the right to believe what she wants.....i tell her to all i ever ask is for her to think critically about what she is being taught. she says she does...but you and i know if she did. i would not be posting on this sub.
this moring during a conversation she made a comment about death...easy come easy go. I believe she has no value for life and I believe she is a heartless person and she only has any kind of care for people in her cult.
i hate this cult with every once of being. thank god my kids want nothing to do with it..

Need to vent. I am thinking of leaving my wife.
by goingthruthemotions ini am so sick of this cult, this religion has such a grip on her.
since i left in 2014, things just are getting progressively worse.
and she it's just getting deeper and deeper.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. It gets tougher to deal with sometimes more than others. I just hate seeing how brainwashed she is when it comes to this cult.

I am so sick of this cult, this religion has such a grip on her. Since I left in 2014, things just are getting progressively worse. And she it's just getting deeper and deeper. Her hall merged with another hall, and just is more and more brainwashed. In reality I don't think she cares if our marriage falls apart.
I am thinking of meeting with a lawyer and find out my rights.
I hate the person she has become with this cult...I could go on and on. Maybe one of you all could talk with me. I just need to vent.

Looking back I have to give a BIG THANKS to this website. Thanks Simon for giving a platform for exjw's and jw's
by goingthruthemotions ini was thinking a couple of days ago about how super brainwashed my wife is and how she will never see the light of how bad this cult is and how much damage it has done to our marriage.
then i got to thinking.....i have been long out, as long i was in and it has gone by fast.
i got involved in march of 08' and left nov 13'.

then I got to thinking.....i have been long out, as long i was in and it has gone by fast. I got involved in march of 08' and left Nov 13'. The biggest eye opener was the article about following the GB even if it sounds unreasonable. I was like WTF. I knew then i had to get my family out. But, unfortunately i was not able to get my wife out. she has only dug her heals in deeper.
But, if it wasn't for this website and the step by step direction i got on how to fade from the Cult. I think it would have been very difficult and with more casualties.
Both out sons want nothing to do with the religion. Our older one is a Junior in College and wants to pursue his Masters after he gets his B.A.
Our younger son is in 10th grade in highschool and is very active in school athletics. he plans to attend college and play college sports, also aspires to get his Masters.
Ya, my life with my wife is shite about 15% of the time and the other 85% of the time we have a great relationshiop. it goes to shite when the evil cult rears it ugly head. but, lately it seems to be getting worse. thats for another topic.
I have wrote my whole story here before, you could go back and read it if you like.
I may not post often, but I do like to check it often to see what crazy is being taught by the cult.
Anyways, This site has helped me in lots of ways. So thanks to Simon and all.

Involved(ish) with a JW Man.
by BNG-713 ini know there are several posts about witnesses and non-witnesses in regards to relationships.
i couldn’t find anything specifically that spoke to me, so i would love some third-party advice and thoughts.. i have never been someone to pursue a stranger from the internet.
earlier this year, i became friends with someone on a video game.

RUN, RUN why would you think it will turn out good. It will always be a roller coaster.
my wife has always been indoctrinated since i meet her 30 years ago. i love her with all my heart...but she is so diluted in the cult. it has cause many many problems.
Meet someone who you are compatible with on a spiritual level. what ever that is...But believe me it's not with a JW. They are spiritually and emotionally stunted.

Faithful and Prudent slave? read somewhere that the discreet was going to change to Prudent.
by goingthruthemotions inread on one of the forums, and maybe this one that the gb are going to start calling themselves the faithful and prudent slave.
my pimi brainwashed wife wouldn't bat an eyelash if they started calling themselves this.
to her it would be new light and they could do nothing wrong.. but, how the not so brainwashed flock take this change?
