Looking at the pics of Warwick... I'm chocked.
by StephaneLaliberte ini am truly chocked and baffled by the number of volunteers they got for this project; especially in the states.
looking at one of their articles on the matter, they stated that a large portion of the printing work was delegated to other locations than ny, thus, they did not need as much space as they did in ny.
also, it was stated that operation cost in nyc were expensive.

I hear you. But the people going to work on it are happier than flies on crap to be doing it. It's such an utter waste of time. Usually people go for only a week or two at a time to work. This kind of format seems incredibly wasteful. By the time they get there and Comfortable on your assigned project it is time to leave. You get yourself there on your own dime. You pay for your own lodging while there. And I believe you supply your own tools as well. It is quite the racket. -

Need advice: Intimacy with my wife almost non existint because she considers me an apostate
by goingthruthemotions injust on of the perks of being an apostate who is married to a branwashed, blinded jw woman.
you know, we have been married for ~27 years....most of which we had nothing to do with the piece of shite cult.
up till the begining of 2014 was when i woke up.

I think it's important for a dub wife to know that her marriage isn't guaranteed going forward. I know that when I take the step that you already have that I am going to tell my wife that I have doubts that our marriage will survive this huge difference in lifestyles that we will have going forward. If it's going to work it will only be because we both work at it. If she isn't willing to work at it then what's the sense in staying together. -

Extreme emotions re today's watchtower
by Tornintwo ini was supposed to attend the meeting today, one of my once a month duties for the sake of my family and my fade.
i read the wt and i just can't stomach going.... what this wt does is again and again reiterate that only jws will survive the coming destruction and that they should be happy about this and raise ourselves erect...eg:.
we cannot expect that many people will suddenly convert to true christianity.

Awful study. Made my blood boil as well. Our conductor cracked a joke about the "goats".
" what will the goats say when they realize they are gonna die "
"this is baaahhhd" (imagine the sound a goat makes) I couldn't believe it Everyone was chuckling discussing kids dying Awful. I hate this damn cult

The new 'classes' jehovahs-witness.net has created. Which one are you?
by Esse quam videri inover time a number of different 'classes' of members have arisen on this forum.
1] apple watch watchers - this group takes a great interest in watches worn by members of the governing body.
2] cult escape consultants - one who freely offers advise on how to flee from a cult - mainly the wt society.

That guy that posted a few months ago who wasn't a dub but had a dub wife that cheated on him should have his own class. I have no idea what to call that class though

I am still in for family reasons but I know that I can't do it permanently. It is incredibly hard on my psyche. My best advice is Don't make any rash moves. -

Any other religions match the JW's on these items....?
by EndofMysteries insince many things have changed, new religions, and religions changing doctrine, etc, for everytime a jw says nobody except jws, 1. refuse to go to war.
2. refuse to be in politics 3. preach about god's kingdom.
4. don't allow sin (dfing for fornication, etc).

Do you find it hard to be around active JW's now?
by EdenOne ini do - actually, it's become close to unbearable.. and herein lies the paradox: i tried to fade in the illusion that i might keep contact with family and friends still "in".
was it worth it?
because not only most of them shun me anyways, but i find it almost unbearable to be around them, especially when the cult chit chat kicks in: every cute animal video clip triggers endless comments about glimpses of the future paradise and how "god did it"; those greasy praises to the organization and the governing body; the dumb awe about every jw broadcast and those cheesy music videos; the endless drivel against other religions when one knows perfectly well that we're no better than them; the endless flow of "experiences" of field service or spectacular conversions into "the truth"; the relentless congregation gossip; and so on .... i ask myself: is this why i am fading for ...?

I am still in and find that the dubs I am friends with rarely if ever talk about "spiritual stuff". Maybe that's because they don't view me As a fader. Perhaps once they think you are "spiritually weak" how they talk around you changes. -

feeling of hopelessness and fear
by 060702015 indo you have feelings of hopelessness and fear for not having a religion?.
do you envy happy jehovah witnesses and living their lives carefree?.
-
Ignoranceisbliss
Not hopelessness or fear. But possibly envy. Hence my name. Believing is simple. My dub friends ( I am still in) are true believers and still have a good time. But I earnestly believe that the pain that I will feel as I leave the Borg is well worth the legacy of not raising my two little princesses (they are still very young) in a cult. -

CO layoff buzz. Anyone heard anything?
by freemindfade inheard of some co's being "let go".
anyone else heard anything like this in the last few days?

I haven't heard anything. There has to be a certain number they need to cover the U.S. Territory. If they start dissolving more halls or if they change it to one visit per hall per year then they could get rid of quite a few. I don't think that's happening yet though.
