  Who Really Profits from the WTBTS?

  like they say in the movies, "follow the money.

  " the thought occurred to me the other day - the wt scam rakes in billions of dollars, and yeah some of that goes to operations and equipment.

  but bethelites at farm and factory get only a bare little dorm room and a monthly pittance.

  our last midweek meeting was going along as planed, then after the last talk, an elder was called up to say: member x is no longer a jw, please sing.... after the song it was silent (compared to todays were people started talk right away) and the father had his head down with someones hand on his back.

  i didn't catch what they were saying, but the pose said: i'm sorry for your loss.. it was a weird night thinking how leaving a religion could couse such sadnness.. jw.org.

  I remember when I was anounced... I spent that night wandering around in a Walmart just so I would not blow my brains out!

  After being reinstated 18 months later , I looked at it all differant.

  I now have left on my own... What a wonderful freedom!

  No more FEAR!

  during my last meeting i was approached to see if i would be willing to switch to the electronic version of the km/watchtower.

  i thought to myself "i'm way ahead of you here, buddy.

  Heads up... I left on my own.. Not DRed..

  After being an Elder for so many years and my chosing to no longer be part of Jehovah's Wittnesses... they do not talk to me anyway!

  I still love them and have willed my assets to them. I completely understand .. I raised them in the JWs.

  But any who think they can fade away and start living a life outside the organinzation and all will be tne same with family and friends....Well, ,,,may not work out that way.

  here is one... my mil told me according to a co talk that she heard jehovah could strike you dead when he is executing judgement based on the clothing you are wearing.

  she was mad at the moment of skirts that were above the knee on me and her friend.. i said to her two things:.

  1) i hope i am not in the tub during this predicament.. 2) i thought jehovah read hearts?.

  so I can be sure to undress first!

  Weird crazy rules imposed by your local Elders.

  we all know the sort of thing..... in many congregations, specific "rules" creep in...introduced by the local elders that become set in stone.. years ago, i heard of a congregation that sat down during the first song of the evening but stood for all others (the co changed that very soon after).

  then there were the older accounts of congs that had rules to make the public speakers wear only white shirts.... in one cong now, i heard that brothers can only be used for sound or microphones if they do a minimum of 5 hours per month in the ministry!.

  another cong has ruled that all appointed men must pioneer for at least one month each year in order to remain qualified.. .

  I have the same feelings at times. Perhaps that is why I read and post on this site.

  Your life sounds great. As you grow you will make new BFFs and have your own family that will be allowed to chose their own path.

  Strange video.

  If the creator of all we can see from earth, including all of the wonderful beauty here on earth.... was using 1 organization to inform modern man all the thing yet to come...

  Well I do not beleive anything would need to be up dated. Teachings like 144K then add Great Crowd.. This Generation.. No blood at all...wait some blood in certain parts.. Governing body not the Faithful Slave...wait , yes it is.. well now it is.

  Expand, build more branch offices.. wait, close them now.

  Come work at Bethal for life.. wait, your getting older with no medical coverage... leave now.. go back out ther and figure life out at 50. Oh.. we are in need of help now in Bethal, replace with 20 year olds.

  Governing body appoints Elders and Sevvants... wait, no the C.O can do it.

  CT Russel and JF Ruthaferd were founders of this organization...wait, no they were not. Lets distance ourselves from their false prophsies.

  Do not use electronic devices at meetings... oh wait.. use them..

  I could go on and on... you get the point.. I no longer beleive God speaks through the WBTS.

  Just wondering

  so i am new to this site.. i have left the organization of my own accord.

  and doing very well.. why do those of you who are still active, if you are on this site, still attend?.

  it is no differance to me... i am just wondering why.... .

  I was too an Elder for many years with Convention speaking assignments. But I was living a double life.

  I was DFed and rightly so. I still beived in the WBTS and came back.

  It was after my reinstatment that I atarted to look at the organization differantly.

  Once my thinking about the truth in the teaching abd control of members it was still hard to make the leap to leave.

  I could have never imagined how well all would turn out.

  If any are wondering.. just ask some of us. Sent a message if any need help.
