What if the Doctor gave you a date when he would cure you. You turn up and he says "No its not today" gives you another date.

I recall reading a while ago that in early Christian times that some groups of Gnostics would just pass the bread and wine around without partaking.
Also I have read that Satanist members also do the same thing. One group said they would pass the bread and wine around, then throw it on the ground and then trample on it.

I must have missed it somewhere , where do we actually know it was a "Birth Control" patch. Did it have it written on it or something?
Would any woman openly display a "Birth Control" patch on her self?
I've worn a pain relief patch on my shoulder before now,
i have heard from my father (who is an elder about 50 years old) that there is a great seperating work going on within the org.
he said that almost all of the people my age 25 to 35 have quit going to our hall (about 20 people).
i have not been to a meeting in about 1 year.
A couple of years ago my non-JW daughter went to the Kingdom Hall on a Sunday (PT&WT) with her JW sister.
The congregation that they went to, when I knew it, used to quite easily get 130 on verge, sometimes 150.
She was shocked, when there was only, she reckoned, about 30 there.
I couldn't believe it nyself I remember it as a real strong congregation, with good Elders.
Really looking forward to growing more.
I did find out that some, even though still lived in the area, where going to different local congregations.
But even those others are down on numbers.
Something certainly has happened to cause this.
it all starts off pretty benign, when she suddenly says "well, you believe man can solve the problems of this world"... she says this because i've ran for political office twice, losing once.
i know where this is going... so i say "i've never said that is our only hope, i just recognize that i live in this reality today, i'm here now, and god's kingdom isn't.. it's the men here now that run things, if god ever steps in, then i'll gladly move aside as i'm sure any man would".

I recall one Christian being asked "Why isn't God doing anything thing?"
He said "But He has."

It seems that the reaction to that poll by some on here is not so much that so many people believe in such things.
But that they find themselves in a minority in not believing.

It's obvious that either those being polled weren't taking the survey seriously or the setup is flawed.I've often come across atheists who do not profess any belief in any God or "Higher power".
But quite easily believe that there are spirits, ghosts, life after death.

I can say that what Balsams son is going through, is not confined to prisons. But can be found in many confined single-sex groups.
Having experienced an all male institution (not prison) for 5 years in my teens.
I too went through the same things. The constant pressure to take part in homosexual acts. The fear that one day someone will force themselves on you. Even more tempting because we were all at the age of sexual "experimentation"
Then on the other hand insitutions that have mixed sex environment also have to cope with problems hetreosexuals will face.
Would Balsams son fare any better if he was in a mixed sex prison? Would not then the temptation be to have sex with a female inmate?
Or do we see that as more acceptable than a homosexual encounter?
Prisons are creating lots of bi-sexual behavior the very thing the so called American public hates. Sick situation, especially when most of these imprisoned individuals will one day be set free and live in our communities.
So are you predjudiced against Gays living in your community?
