  Most of the people of this world couldn't care a damn about currency.

  They have enough trouble trying to put food on the table and feeding their families as it is.

  Some "world currency" will probably not make much difference to their lives.

  The only ones worried are the peoples of the rich nations about their wealth.

  Besides according to others the world ends on December 21st,2012

  So they have just over two years to bring this "world currency" in.

  Well at least London will get the Olympics over with by then.

  You can be sure if you point out were they have made changes in teachings, doctrines and false prophecies.
  They will say that they are only men and imperfect will get things wrong.

  JWs pretended to be someone else at my door.

  this is probably in the wrong section, but i couldn't decide where to put it.

  i was raised a jw and i still suffer effects from that kind of upbringing.. anyway, they said they were local community volunteers and they wanted to give me something related to the community.

  i didn't open the door but they put a jw tract through it.. i don't think it's right to be so devious about recruitment.

  An Elder I used to do field service with always introduced himself as a "Christian Minister, bringing Gods Word to people."

  If he was asked what "church" he was from, he would say "The local congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses."
  or on a couple of occassions he said he represented the "International Bible Students Association."

  JWs in UK appealing for charity donations for beds

  while the watchtower leaders smugly bury their glorious leaders and eulogise about their dedication to jehovah i.e.

  watchtower publishing company , their brothers and sisters of the lower order in the uk are begging for charitable donations through the jah jireh care home home site.. it seems as if some of the millions who will never die are now doing just that and are in need of urgent help because armageddon or cloud cuckoo land as it is known to the sane, refuses to show up.. maybe the past w/t presidents who have reached their sell by dates residing in the heavenly realm can speed things up a little.. if you would like to make a donation go to the jah jireh website and check out the latest news..

  This is a problem of the JWs - they only practice their brand of Christianity to those of their own faith. This is why they have no real programs aimed at helping the poor and needy regardless of creed or race. They shame the Christ whom they profess to follow.

  So true, they believe that Jehovah will sort everything in due time. So why give to a charity.

  where is this based on?which verse of the bible says that we have to follow certain rules when it comes to sex?

  (i know this is a very discussed topic).what have you heard/seen?i am sure no one ever follows that..

  Is the GB setting up to dump 1914?

  with the "generation change" and them changing it all the time it would make sence to dump it all togeather.. lets face it ,it can be disproved easly.. they dumped 1975 in a heart beat .. this would buy them all the time they wanted as they would just find another date to start the generation from ie: "the u.n year of peace and sercurty'',1986 i belive or whatever else they could think of.. they could sell it to the r&f as easly as they sold 1975,then dumped it when it did'nt happen .. anyone questioning them would be told they are running ahead of jehovah or lacking faith in his earthly org that feeds us food at the proper time .. what do you think?.

  As said by "JWfacts" many of them these days would have a hard job explaining the 1914 date, and its signifigance.

  Though would be interesting if they did and what their explanation for doing so would be.

  As the book "Captives to a Concept" shows their whole basis of authority is centred on the 1914-1919 dates.

  Not believing in the Trinity , doesn't make you the true religion.

  It depends - in the early days when I had become a JW, treated very well.
  As a young man in 20's, becoming a JW, they probably thought how good it was.
  (Though if only they knew what I got up to with a some of the sisters.)

  Eventually married one of them, had children.

  Became a Min Servant.

  Then gradually started to question doctrine etc.

  Thats when their attitude started to change.

  Even more so when we DA'd.

  But with JWs its always a case of as long as you are toeing the party line, you are OK.

  JWs don't ban blood because of the possible side-effects or possible errors of doctors. Their stand is based on two or three Bible scriptures. So when discussing the blood doctrine one should stick to what the Bible says and forget all the side arguments that have nothing to do with the reason why JWs forbid the use of blood.

  I agree.

  If you speak to a JW they always bring up how "dangerous" blood is medically. That you will get this or that disease or wrong matched blood. I usually ask if their stand is based on the medical danger then. They say this to prove that their stand is right.
  There is no medical treatment that does not have a risk of some kind.

  But their stand is not based on medical evidence, but solely on their interpretation of scriptures.

  If blood was one of the safest treatments , what would their argument be?

  So prove to us from scripture alone that their stand on blood is correct.

  You will find many a JW floundering to give an answer.

  i am a third generation of jehovah witnesses, even if i never got baptized.

  however, they disfellowship me when i was around 15. this was around 1987. even if i have not been in the "truth" for so many years it has affected all my life in many ways not only negative.

  a couple of years ago i thought the events in the world maybe proved to me that they were right after all.

  Truthseeker I was a JW from 1971 and thats the first time I have heard that they "disfellowshipped" a non-baptised person.

  Only a baptised JW can be disfellowshipped.

  What they called "unbaptised publishers" were not, they could be stopped from doing the preaching work,
  and congregation told so. Maybe you were "marked" but you could not be disfellowshipped.

  Armageddon

  i'm beginning to have some doubts about my doubts.

  this subject is one of them.. many argue that it is unfair, unloving, and unjust for god to destroy 99.9% of all mankind at armageddon.

  but didn't this happen before in the days of noah?
