  Do "born-again christians"believe that the Pope went to heaven or hell?

  i ask this question because i know alot of "born-agains"that do not like roman catholics and feel that they worship mary and will not make it to heaven.

  my friend that is a devout catholic has told me many horror stories of christians sending pamphlets to catholic churches telling them that they will burn in hell.

  i was igronant of the anti-catholic hatred that is taught in many born-again christian churches.

  Depends which group of "born-again christians" you mean. The ones that follow Roberts, or Graham, or Copeland, or Hinn etc etc.

  As a "born-again Christian" myself, that is, one who has accepted Christ as my Saviour. After 30 years as a JW.

  I believe that Karol Wojtyla has gone to heaven. A man who, from what I've read, from his youth believed that the only hope for the world was Jesus Christ.

  last tuesday my jw nephew 26 yrs old, got df'd.

  seems his jw father (my brother) and mother came home and caught him having sex, with a guy!!

  seems they walked in when the guys were right in the middle of it.

  Last Tuesday my JW nephew 26 yrs old, got DF'd. Why? Seems his JW Father (my brother) and Mother came home and caught him having sex, with a guy!! Seems they walked in when the guys were right in the middle of it. This happened about two weeks ago, I've been told by my nephew. Anyway his parents being the "upright" JW's they are called the Elders. I think that to make an example of him they decided to DF him. Somehow the reason why he was DF'd was made known in the congregation. Shock, Horror.

  My nephew came to see me, I'm DA'd so its OK. Said he was glad in a way it had happened he didn't know how much longer he could keep it a secret he was gay. Told me the guy he was caught with was Brother G the 18 yr old son of a JW family in another congregation. Then went on to tell me that he has had sex with four other brothers in the congregation, one of them married. When I asked when had it started, he said when he was 15, with J who was 16 at the time. I said so for ten years you have been gay. Yeah he said, you be surprised who I've been with in that time. Guys who are now MS, Elders, pioneers. Some of them are still doing it.

  Then he says "I hope mom and dad, don't find out about my sister "A". "Why?" I asked

  "Becuase she's had sex with the guys I didn't get to, in the congreagtion. At the moment she is seeing Brother "S" twice a week at his home, while they think she is on field service.

  I sat there in silence for a bit. Then burst out laughing the thought of my brother the " Brother Perferct JW" the way he used to go on about how he has raised his family Jehovahs way and that they weren't like children of the world. I remember them all prim and proper at meetings. What is it they say about pride and falling.

  Anyway my nephew has been kicked out his parents home. So I've offered to put him up at my place.

  I shouldn't laugh..but a little giggle escapes now and again.

  Did you ever see a TRULY happy JW?

  so during all this time did you ever see happy person or a family or were you ever truly happy there, even for a brief period of time?

  if you were happy, when was it?

  How Many Of You "Bumped" Your Field Service Hours?

  how many of you bumped up your field service hours so you could keep the elders off your back?

  our congo had a 10 hour "soft" target for guys.

  however, if you didn't meet the 10 hours you got your "privledges" reduced or revoked.

  I learnt a couple of years after becoming a JW that you could put down anything on your report and no one said a word. That was 20+ years ago.

  In the congregation I was in we were told not to put down half hours, but to round them up.

  Often heard the Field overseer saying to those who were had not put a report in, usually the elderly ones, "Just put a couple of hours down, sister"

  Had an elderly brother who used to place 80 magazines a month and put down 10 hours service. Then it was discovered that all he did was just post the mags through doors. The hours were more like 2 - 3 a month.

  When I was a Min Serv. worked with the service overseer for a while. I saw reports from brothers and sisters, that I knew, no way could they have done the hours they had put down.

  Especially when we knew that a CO visit was coming up.

  Yeah, I quite sure that the WT are happy that another JW is being accused of child abuse. Especially one that is so prominent and highlighting the fact he is a "JW". What will all the other cases and publicity about JW's and child abuse, its just what they want.

  i think i may have just precipitated my exit from the watchtower a little sooner than i expected.

  i was really looking forward to attending easter services at a local church today, and so made arrangements to ride with a friend of mine and his wife.

  my friend is a recently disfellowshiped former fellow elder.

  I understand your predicament. Also as you have said earlier about "pretending" to carry on as a JW and then fading away. I tried that but it was worse than being honest about it all. In the end I had to make a stand for what I believed.

  Like Little Toe this cost me my marriage I have been separated from my wife for 4 yours now, in that time she and my 2 JW daughters have not spoken to me. But I have never given up hope that one day they will see sense.

  Also keep in mind that others on this forum have also gone through the same thing. But have had the joy thattheir wives have followed them out of the WT.

  So hang in there. Don't let them bully you. Otherwise you will end up living a lie.
