Does the Watchtower Society spy and keep tabs on "apostate" websites?
by isnrblog inrecently i asked the question about lawsuits that the society brought against certain websites.
i got a lot of good information.
it seems, of course that the watchtower society, in typical fashion, will by any means suppress an opposing view.

Can someone explain Paradise earth for me.
by Guest with Questions inmy mother has brought up this issue a few times lately and i'm a bit confused.
actually she says she's confused about it and doesn't know what to believe; that what she reads in the bible contradicts what the elders say.. she said that if you die before armegeddon you become an angel, so i assume that they will never marry or have children?
if you and your current spouse both survive armegeddon you continue to be married and have children?.

She said that if you die before Armegeddon you become an angel, so I assume that they will never marry or have children?
If you are one of the "anointed" you go straight to heaven when you die. No marriage no children
If one of the "great crowd/other sheep" you cease to exist when you die and have to rely on Jehovah "remembering you.
If He does then you will be resurrected to earth. But no marriage no children. If you and your current spouse both survive Armegeddon you continue to be married and have children? Correct
If you are one of the other 6 billion non-JW's alive on earth at the time of Armageddon you are destroyed.
But if you die before Armageddon you will be resurrected. Whether you are a JW or not.
Unless you have rejected "Jehovahs word" or if a JW you have been disfellowshipped, disassociated, and even worse an apostate.
You spend the next 1000 years cleaning up the bodies that didn't make it through Armageddon? Some of the thousand years, with help from birds.
You will also be teaching the resurrected ones the latest "New Light"Someone on this board a while back mentioned that if there is no longer death, why will some people still be eliminated,There will be no Adamic death. Not sure but think if you openly rebel you can be eliminated by Jehovah.
Or is the promise of no more death or suffering not during the 1000 years but afterwards? After the 1000 years you will be declared righteous and perfect.
So basically you are tested during this life time and then tested again for 1000 years? correct. A JW must serve the Watchtower faithfully to the end, if they either want to survive Armageddon or be resurrected.
Then you have do it to all again for a 1000 years. -

JW IQ's. Below average? (Includes SM anecdote.)
by Open mind inare dub bulbs just a little dimmer than the general population?
here's a little highlight from this week's local service meeting that prompts my question.. it's the annual, 20 minute, robotic hand-pumping session conducted by the secretary trying to get everyone all hyped/guilted up for this summer's district convention.
anyway, towards the end of the q&a, there's a paragraph that talks about offering a ride to the elderly/infirm ones in your congo.

I used to work with a guy who I thought for a while was a JW.
He couldn't seem to do any work unless it was clearly set out what he was to to do. He would not deviate from the set pattern. If anything did deviate then he would contact his manager to ask what to do. Whereas the rest of us would us our initiative to do the job. Whatever the management said he did to the letter. Someone said that if he was told he had to stand on one leg for the shift he would do it.
It was not until we discovered that he had spent 23 years in the army, that all was explained.

Bad things to say?
by Aleman into the people in this forum:.
"but if you have bitter jealousy and contentiousness in your hearts, do not be bragging and lying against the truth.this is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is [the] earthly, animal, demonic.for where jealousy and contentiousness are, there disorder and every vile thing are.

To Aleman and the Watchtower
These men are springs without water and mists driven by a storm. Blackest darkness is reserved for them. For they mouth empty, boastful words and, by appealing to the lustful desires of sinful human nature, they entice people who are just escaping from those who live in error. They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity-for a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him. 2 Peter 2:17-19
You have advanced, not Christ, but your own agenda. You have had your reward in full. Boast in yourself further. Make big boasts. Claim His throne itself and seat yourself on it. Your time is coming. Your future is dark. Your end is coming.

What will be the reaction in the congregation when...
by JH inwe have many older brothers and sisters in our congregation, and surely the same in many congregations all around the world.. what will be the reaction in the congregations when all these older ones, who were sure they wouldn't die before the end, pass away and leave a vacuum in the congregation.. i don't wish these older brothers and sisters harm, but eventually they will be too old to follow and they will die away.. it won't be the same anymore, when they see these old pillars who stood so faithfully crumble due to old age.. .

The ones who were in their 50, 60, 70's when I became a JW in the early 1970's have nearly all gone.
Such ones kept the congregation in good order. Then they gradually started to die off. They were replaced by younger men in there 30's 40's.
In a three year period we lost four good Elders, all in there 70's. I say good because these were guys who had their heads screwed on.
They were "replaced" by younger men. Guys who thought they were "Gods gift" to the congregation.
Watchtower Daleks, who "obeyed" every little WT directive to the letter.
I left not long after the last of these "gifts" came to power.
The congregation started to go downhill. For years we never had anyone DF'd. Not it seemed for the least wrong people were being DF'd.
Attendance has dropped, either through brothers stopped going, or they are attending another congregation in the area.

There will always be a hardcore in any religion that will carry it on when all others have left.
Someone will always be attracted to it.
Look at the old Bible Students who still follow Russels teachings.

Aleman (you read as if you have had to much ale)
I need to warn you that many in this forum have off the wall belief systems that the Holy Bible warns not to have
You mean just like the Watchtower organisation.
It is the only one with truth in it's core. You will not find any other religion that has that in it's core.
Thats what I thought for nearly 30 years. Then I discovered that the "truth" was nothing but a pack of lies. Devised and made by men.
Look it up and find the information in the libraries, internet, or other well recognized media of information.
Yes keep searching and checking for the real truth about the Watchtower organisation. Read the experiences of those who have suffered at its hands on forums such as this.
(Aleman very odd advice to a JW, considering that the Watchtower warn JW's to NOT do such a thing,. See Kingdom Ministry Sept 2007)
I hope you don't leave the truth or the faithful because of selfish reasons or unanswered questions.
Strange you tell her to look for answers. Then not to leave if she gets NO answers??? Very few leave for selfish reasons, but many leave because they can't get questions answered. Because they are told not to ask questions.
Find happiness and don't look for an excuse to leave the only perfect and holy thing existing in this word, and that is Jehovah God the almighty.
Again a typical non-sensical remark by a Watchtower follower. That any who leave, leaves Jehovah. NO they leave a man-made organisation.
I have answers, send me a message.
No you don't! The only one you have are ones you read in the Watchtower, words of men.
The message I have for you is "You were bought with a price, stop becoming slave of men." 1 Cor 7:23 NWT

Got the new WT Video last night....so we edited it :) ENJOY
by iblowmynoseatyou inthe new video "pursue goals that honor god" was given to me last night at the hall.
it encourages young people to pursue spiritual goals, and not waste their time on foolish endeavors such as riches or education.
well, at least it used to have that message, until we had our way with it :) .

Moments at the District Assembly You'll Never Forget...
by integ ini'll never forget the assembly in madison, wi.
where some poor sap had to tell everyone that he had become addicted to porno on the net, but through much prayerful contemplation and after confessing to the elders he was able to come to "grips" with it.. good luck to that guy with ever getting a fine sister to marry him.. poor guy.
i really felt sorry for him.

Its amazing how many have had such similar experiences at assemblies and conventions.
Also how it show how contrived some "expereiences" at conventions are.
One year my wife and I went to two different conventions. One was a own District Convention, then we were on holiday and visited friends in another part of the country and went for one day to theirs.
What struck us was that when they did a session about "experiences" two of them were exactly the same as told at our own convention. But told by entirely different people. But it was done as if THEY were the ones who had the "experience".
"Experiences" given at Circuit Assemblies were always of interest to me as I usually knew some involved. Publishers saying how they increased their field service. I'm sitting there thinking "How come we never see you out with us then?"
