this is what somebody has been telling me, trying to convince me aside from anything one can say or cause reason for doubt, as the evidence that they are the true religion and true people of god.
they are convinced because while 'all other' christian and other religions support war, troops, etc, jw's don't and they are the only one's who carry god's name and preach.

this is a question a sincere christian may agonize over after learning that some books of the bible were rejected by certain early christian groups,while other books that did not make the canon were accepted.
also,when one realizes that so called inspired writers of the greek scriptures quote from apocrypha,that most christians reject today,one wonders if these writings that include these quotes should even be in the bible.. it is true that when it comes to the christian greek scriptures the canon has been closed for many centuries.
also, these books have been accepted by christians ever since the second,perhaps first,century.
It does not say God wrote thebible it says those who wrote thebible were inspired to write it. The bible is a written testimony about Christ.It does not give life. What gives life is the living Christ. THemystery of the ages not known until the 1st century was made known to the gentiles.The Mystery is Christ in us. THe churches do not teach this. See colossians 1:27. All thigns have bene reconciled back to God and he dwells within all.What is being manifest is the living Christ in you. All will come to the realization of him.

genesis 8:21: ... so jehovah said in his heart: never again will i cursethe groundon mans account, for the inclination of the heart of man is bad from his youth up;and never again will i strike down every living thing as i have done.. genesis 9:15, 16: and i will certainly remember my covenant that i made between me and you and every living creature of every kind;and never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all flesh.and the rainbow will occur in the cloud, and i will certainly see it and remember the everlasting covenant between god and every living creature of every kindon the earth.. does it make sense to say "i will never kill you by a flood, next time i will use fire?

Revelation was about what happened to jeruslaem and the tmeple in 70ad. It use hyperbole,symbolic metaphors as used by peopel in those days.Most of it is taken form the OT prophets like ezekiel who use dthe same language .Bible prophecy has been fulfilled already in the 1st centruy

is matthew 25:31 concerning after armageddon or during/before?.
The prophecies in Matthew. Were about the destruction of Jerusalem , the temple and the old covenant. It has nothing to do with the so called end of the world. Messiah told those standing in front of him what would happen in their lifetime and it did.He came back for them as he promised. THe delsuion by religion is that it was a future event

There is no gap.Messiah rule sin his KIngdom with his elect and has done since the 1st centruy.All we have to do is enter in.It is spiritual and no part of this world. The Mystery of the ages not known and made known to the gnetiles in the 1st century which is "Christ in us" the hope of Glory( colossians 1:27). There is no more death you will be transformed in the blink of an eye at your death, no law, no sin forgiven past present and future. We are fellow citizens of the Kingdom, joint heirs. Every generation has this blessing and the revealing of Chrsit within is being manifest in all. The living word within testifies Christ in you once we recognise the written word is only a testimony about Christ but the letter does not give life. What makes you think he was not
Correct the 144,000 were sealed in the1st century and have ruled with Jesus in his KIngdom ever since. All things were fulfilled in that 1st century. The signs of the times were for ONE time only. The Great Tribulation they were facing was never to be repeated accordingto Jesus and just as the OT prophets had pointed to , Messiah prohesied about and those who lived in that generation were expecting and Messiah kept his promise to them. He came back for them. There is no dual fulfillment or types and shadows of what happened.They all ended with Christ. He rules in his KIngdom. In revelation the angel told John not to seal up the words of the scroll inrev 21 or 22 because the time was at hand.If itwas not for 2000 years later the scroll would have been sealed up. The end time churhces have it all wrong and are teaching a deception either knowingly or unknowingly. All things were for that 1st century generation.
