did you watch the story about the jw who was working as a burger boy at some diner and his boss wanted him to work on sunday during the time of his meeting?
this faithful jw decided he could not attend a later meeting (6 pm sunday meeting) and soon quit his job(or got fired to attend his sunday meeting) so he could attend the sunday meeting he was assigned to.
i think he was on welfare because this story states he won't work on sunday morning because that's when his meeting is!

We get similar inquires from time to time over at the exjw subreddit, people wanting their "file".
Lots of times it comes down to Where you live. Privacy laws and data retention laws vary.
I have heard of People in Australia getting their files, most notably Paul Grundy of www.jwfacts.com fame. Similar stories from EU countries.
In the US? Not much luck. Where I live in TX? Hell would freeze over first before you got to see your "file"!
The only (hypothetical) situation I can see, would be to have an Elder who is aware and sympathetic "loose" your file. The Secretary of your congregation would have it locked up in a cabinet at the hall.
You could always have a sneaky M.S. with the keys to the KH pick the lock to the file cabinet and grab it!

as far as i remember, only married couples were allowed to be missionaries.
my jw sister recently told me that single sisters can be missionaries, too.
this sounds too progressive for jws, so i just want to verify it.
as some of you know i was given pdf files of much of the conti and lopez child abuse court cases and asked from a friend to peruse through it and post some excerpts on the board here that may have been missed or not addressed in the pbs newshour report or the abc news nightline report.
so after going through this richard ashe testimony i feel i found something quite interesting that exposes the real attitudes of the wt society leaders towards child abuse and the attitudes wt leaders put into it's appointed men's minds as well.
the viewpoint that richard ashe displays is repeated in elders throughout thousands of jw congregations on this planet.
Richard Ashe is a Bethelite (former D.O.) and one of the Service departments "experts" (Person Most Qualified) on matters involving child sexual abuse.

i'm curious to know if it will cause a spark in any jw's who already have questions or doubts and lead them to research into the child abuse cases and lead them to the thought that the wt and gb are not inspired or gods mouthpiece.
at the very least it will provide people a topic of conversation and questions to the jw's who knock on their door: "so whats this whole sex abuse in kingdom halls thing about i saw on the billboard down the road?
couple of weeks ago an elder took a young man aside and crawled all over him after the tms for wearing a "skinny" tie.
it was one of those 2 inch wide ties.
nothing bright or scandalous about.
