SPIMI Friend Asked Me For The Name Of My (FORMER) Congregation

she was a longtime buddy, who was pimq-pimo-ppimi-on-occasion for many decades.
then shortly before the pandemic, she was dating a brother who was reaching out to become an ms [mind you, this guy was a mic-handler for several decades as well--until an older brother (who was a close friend of his uncle--who converted him into the cultporation years ago--encouraged him to the point of harrassing him to move up the wt corporate ladderđđ¤].

Make sure your medical notes are up to date
by moley ini recently had a heart attack, after arriving at a&e they gave me an angiogram and it was discovered i need a bypass (quadruple).
will i was being prepared for surgery to consultant said he needed to speak to me and he said on your notes it says youâre a jw (iâve been out over 20 years) i said no and i was willing to accept blood and my notes were updated.
i dread to think what would have happened if i had been unconscious and unable to clarify the situation.

THAT would be the ultimate bummer...to reclaim your life by leaving Watchtower and then die early because of an old dpa. mixed up file or JW relative withholding blood. Even worse if it were your child.

Juneteenth being celebrated by JWs
by Anony Mous inso today i saw a group of jws i know, we were sitting down to eat at a public place and i guess they (mom and daughter) were performing at an event with their sports team⌠for juneteenth.. they (the entire team) happened to sit next to us for some fast food and i recognized them and said hi, hoping to make them uncomfortable.
they actually said hi and introduced themselves to my family, iâve seen them before (they go to the same school as one of my kids) and they usually ignore me.
i know for a fact they and their family still goes, the family patriarch is an elder etc.

Just JWs doing what most JWs do. 3rd Gen calls it "Cafeteria beliefs"....they pick and choose what THEY think is important. Father's Day, Mother's Day, Thanksgiving, and Juneteenth are non-religious, innocuous holidays to most JWs. Even so, because of Watchtower flip-flops and overzealous Elders, celebrations are kept on the down-low.

President Trump is considering a range of options, including a potential U.S. strike against Iran, and met with top advisers in the Situation Room at the White House on Tuesday, administration officials said. Trump earlier said on social media that the U.S. knew the location of the country's leader but was choosing not to take any action, and then said, "UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!"
The president left a G-7 summit in Canada early, saying he wasnât doing so to work on a cease-fire in the dayslong conflict between Israel and Iran but for something âmuch bigger than that.â Asked to clarify, Trump said he wanted âan end, a real end, not a cease-fire.â
The White House has said the U.S. isnât joining Israelâs attacks on Iran, amid speculation fueled by recent military buildup in the region. A third U.S. Navy destroyer entered the eastern Mediterranean Sea to help defend Israel, and a second U.S. carrier strike group is heading toward the Arabian Sea.
While the Pentagon says the military buildup is purely defensive, it puts the U.S. on a firmer footing to join Israeli attacks on Iran should Trump decide to do that. Alternatively, it could be a tactic to pressure Iran to capitulate or make concessions.
Israel and Iran continued to exchange fire, and the death toll in Iran rose to above 450, according to a human-rights group. In Israel, 24 people have died as a result of Iranian strikes.
What else to know:
The U.N. atomic agency said an Israeli strike directly hit the underground halls at Iranâs largest enrichment facility, Natanz.
Germanyâs chancellor said Israel was doing the âdirty workâ for other countries by striking Iranâs nuclear sites.
Oil prices rose again as Vice President JD Vance said President Trump âmay decide he needs to take further action to end Iranian enrichment.â
The Israeli military said it killed one of Iranâs most senior military commanders in an airstrike in Tehran.
Tehran residents reported long lines at gas stations and traffic jams as people rushed to flee the city, anticipating more attacks.

Where is Tony?

a few months later it was revealed that the watchtower bought him a house in lumberton, north carolina.. however, and correct me if i am wrong, since leaving the gb nobody has reported seeing tony attending jw meetings or participating in field service.
in fact nobody has reported seeing him anywhere, not even at a local liquor store.

From watching his videos, Tony struck me as a self-assuming A-hole. The kind of guy who is considered "difficult" in any workplace or body of elders.
Perhaps his wife felt that way and wanted a separation...or just moved in with relatives. Separations, and divorces are not unknown at Bethel. Heck just look at the first two Watchtower presidents. Perhaps between drinking and marital issues Tony no longer qualified???? Who knows, or cares. A nearby ex-jw has driven by his place on his way to Home Depot...and talked about on this site.
