I highly doubt this seems highly impracticable. They dont have the man power attendant wise to search people as they come in, unlike events at conventions you can come and go as you please. What are they gonna do search people multiple times a day as they enter and exit for whatever reason.

Major changes to convention security beginning in 2017
by Edison Trent inshort info on interesting changes to the major conventions this year: there will be a new security concept that will be implemented at all regional conventions in 2017.. similar to other major events (e.g.
festivals, concerts), there will be admittance controls in stadiums.. - at each entrance, there will be a massive presence of attendants that look at each visitor.. - there will be pocket checks at the entrance.. - suspicious persons are no longer left on the convention grounds.. - suppliers to the stadium will be intensively inspected by attendants.. - there will be a special sign for attendants that must enter the stadium before 7.30 am.
all others (even all attendants) can only enter after 7.30 am..

Then this stupid elder's wife in the hall I went to who was born in 1978 told in me in 2008 it was all made up lies.
This is never got heard this from so many people, the mindset of 75 is easily proven just using the WT library.
The most intesting quote on this I say is - "One thing is absolutely certain, Bible chronology reinforced with fulfilled Bible prophecy shows that six thousand years of man’s existence will soon be up, yes, within this generation! (Matt. 24:34) This is, therefore, no time to be indifferent and complacent. This is not the time to be toying with the words of Jesus that “concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father.” (Matt. 24:36) To the contrary, it is a time when one should be keenly aware that the end of this system of things is rapidly coming to its violent end. Make no mistake, it is sufficient that the Father himself knows both the “day and hour”!
Now is NOT the time to listen to Jesus.

CREATIVE DAYS - How Long?
by Bloody Hotdogs! inhas the new june 2015 watchtower finally done away with 7000 year creative days?
the box the bible and proven scientific facts.
genesis chapter 1 uses the term day to set out the stages in the preparation of the earth for life in all its diverse forms.

They did away with that awhile ago, as far back as the 70s they stated the 7th day is still ongoing. It does not end till Gods purpose for the earth is completed.

WT terms of use for website material
by stuckinarut2 inso the society's website has the following terms of use.... how can they forbid people from quoting or posting content on any form of social media?
how too can "breaching" these self imposed terms be "punished"?
nearly every "good" witness sends the society stuff to each other via instagram, facebook, email, etc....so are they disobeying the directives of the governing body?.

If they can figure out how to keep copyrighted things off other websites they can make a pretty penny selling that info to Hollywood and the music industry. -

Things are getting expensive.
Assembly taking care of people.
During the 1993 service year, the Watch Tower Society spent $48,857,112.38 in caring for special pioneers, missionaries, and traveling overseers in their field service assignments
10 Years laterDuring the 2013 service year, Jehovah’s Witnesses spent nearly $200 million in caring for special pioneers, missionaries, and traveling overseers in their field service assignments.
That is a big increase. I mean yea New York sales were huge but if they are really burning 200 Million a year and that is only part of there expenses . -

Mandatory voting in USA
by Sour Grapes ini am sure that president obama's saying today that mandatory voting in the usa would be a good thing is going to get the witnesses all excited as they look forward to being persecuted for not voting.
just another sign showing how deep we are into the times of the end and how close they are to burying billions of people who don't read the watchtower.. sour grapes .

As predicted, this caused a small stir here in washington dc among faithful dubbies. When i pointed out the branch long ago had addressed this by saying that you would show up, go in the booth and write in "jesus" and call it a day they (three of them I was speaking with) actually looked deflated. They wanted the persecution amd seriously felt this was aimed at jw's. It made my head hurt the rest of the day.
Yea I have had this from people I know, they want persecution. They want to be tortured and suffer. Maybe it has something to do with proving themselves, or along those lines. But in reality it is just dumb.
But yea lots of country's around the world where voting is mandatory you show up register and check both boxes or no boxes, they comply with the law but still don't vote.

Pathetic manipulation at the Zone Visit to the Mexico Branch (Central America)
by avaddohn94 ingb helper robert luccioni paid a visit to the branch that oversees mexico and central america and, you can probably imagine all the "excitement" among the witnesses who were tied in via internet.. this time they really emphasized that none of the information that was shared during such a "magnificent" event was to be posted on social media.
the fact that they are becoming more secretive should alert anyone about the dangers posed by cult-like religions but, truth be told, that is a very difficult thing to understand from within.. still, this picture might be of help!
in the end, luccioni's objective as representative of the governing body was very clear: money!

What a pity even there own publications have made statements against shameless guilt tripping soliciation two stick out.
1. From the draw close to God book - “Not grudgingly or under compulsion.” Paul notes two types of giving that have no place among true Christians—reluctant and forced. The Greek expression rendered “grudgingly” literally means “out of sadness (or, grief).” A grudging, or reluctant, giver gives “from a heart made sorrowful at the thought of parting with money,” explains one reference work. A forced giver gives because he feels pressured to do so. Who of us really wants to receive a gift from a reluctant or forced giver?
2. “It Will Never Beg nor Petition Men for Support”
7 Brother Russell and his associates refused to imitate the money-raising schemes so common in the churches of Christendom. In the second issue of the Watch Tower, under the heading “Do You Want ‘Zion’s Watch Tower’?” Russell stated: “‘Zion’s Watch Tower’ has, we believe, JEHOVAH for its backer, and while this is the case it will never beg nor petition men for support. When He who says: ‘All the gold and silver of the mountains are mine,’ fails to provide necessary funds, we will understand it to be time to suspend the publication.” (Hag. 2:7-9) Over 130 years later, The Watchtower and the organization that publishes it are still going strong!
8 Jehovah’s people do not beg for money. They do not pass collection plates or send out letters of solicitation. Neither do they use bingo, bazaars, or raffles to raise money. They hold to what the Watch Tower long ago said: “We have never considered it proper to solicit money for the Lord’s cause, after the common custom . . . It is our judgment that money raised by the various begging devices in the name of our Lord is offensive, unacceptable to him, and does not bring his blessing either upon the givers or the work accomplished.”
