  You ever notice how personalities change when CO comes around?

  isn't it sickning when normaly people in the cong don't even speak to you.

  but when the co visits comes they want to shake your hand and even (cringe) hug you?

  then as soon as he leaves back to normal.

  its a big freaking social event. going out in service to knock on empty doors and go to the same return visits that have been getting magazines for the last 10 years is just an exscuse to get together with people. because if you just call them up and invite them over your accused of to much socializing!

  the 'privliage' of working with the co and his wife, is like a lottery, ooooo,

  who is he going to pick to go in the c.o. car group! and then if you are you feel all special.

  its funny, rather than waste gas and time riding around sitting in a car and stopping every hour to take a leak or have coffee,

  why not just get together for a nice evening with freinds! duh, THATS what its all about. THAT is how yu find out that sister so n so broke her ankle

  and needs help vacumming, or brother so n so, is looking for work, or someone wants to have a picnic.

  or little sister so n so got the measles.

  but noooo we dont know anything, unless your in a car listening in on someone elses conversation.

  some people are so transparent.

  Satan and the demons, ghosts, spirits, fortune tellers. Are they real?

  i believe in god.

  i don't believe he punishes or rewards people.

  so by the same extention i don't believe any spirit beings can communicate with or influence humans.. many who do not believe in god though, have gone to fortune tellers.

  well, when i was a child of 4 or 5 yrs old we lived in an apt in the city. i would have frequent , 'experiences' with what today i would consider ghosts.

  i vividly remember on several occations, getting out of my bed, walking to the edge of the stairs and jumping to float to the bottom, and go into the kitchen,and then go back up to bed.

  then one night, a ghost of a long haired woman walk through the wall, into my room and stand by my bed,

  i turned over and tightly kept my eyes closed. the next day i had hives. i remember it to this day.

  and at the same time, in this same place, my mother told me that many mornings after my father left for work, she was 'held down' to the bed by something so she couldnt move.

  she tells me the woman in the apt below was a 'crazy' woman who was a 'drunk' and she blamed her, and the fact that she was studying new with her sister at the time and felt that satan was trying ot get her to stop.

  funny too is that years later when we moved into a larger house, never having any odd experiences there,

  my girlfriend gave me a bag of used clothing, i was about 12.

  i started to hear voices outside my door at night, that started out soft and got louder, sort of like you were approaching a closed door with a crowd of people on the other side talking, it freaked me out. i complined about this to my mom a few times,

  so my mom called my aunt who was the 'jw authority' and my aunt asked my mom if she had brought anything into the house recently from anyone.

  she said yes , these clothes, from my freind. my freind,also age 12 was into the game 'ouiga board' at the time, so my mom considered those clothes demonized, and she gave them all back. nothing else happened after that.

  then 10 years ago my husband who used to have a motorcycle and cruise around the countryside, would take little hikes in the woods, sometimes hed have his brother with him, or me, or hed stop along his way and poke inside abandoned houses sitting along side the road, we always had fun wondering why peopple would abandon perfectly good homes, and leave stuff behind. sometimes wed find weird stuff left behind like old magazines and books and wed take them home and have fun reading them.

  well one day he was in one of these empty homes by himself, and was standing in the upstairs , and he said he heard loud footsteps coming up the steps, and he thought it was the owner who may have lived next door, or someone who saw him go in, and he turned around, and there was no one there,

  he said his hair stood up on his neck, and he flew out of there quick.

  also,a few years ago i was at work one day, putting products on shelves minding my own buisness, and sensed someone quicly walking by me, to the back room, I turned around, and looked and saw no one, i went to find my supervisor,and asked her who went into the back room, she said no one why?

  i said someone walked back there awful fast, who was it? she said OMG you saw it! the ghost!, there is a man ghost who is here.

  and i said no way!

  so Ghosts or not, you have to admit, these expereinces are pretty weird huh?

  as for fortune tellers, well, are they all lottery winners?? or fall into situations that make thier lives always pleasent? nope.

  they really dont go into bible topics anymore. its all about the gb , weird invented stuff,

  and why people should donate , and lists of do and donts

  the God of the hebrew bible was a different God than the one in the new testiment. ancient peoples had many Gods.

  That God was a god of war, and if it was a God, who said in the ten commandments do not kill, then he broke his own commandment

  help needed....cult question from watchtower

  so i was looking at the boards not too long ago and saw a list of questions that were related to whether or not a religion was a cult that looked like it came from the watchtower.

  i've been trying to find those questions again so i could find the watchtower and hopefully one day show this to my wife who is still asleep to the troof of the gb.. .

  the help would be greatly appreciated.. .

  try to get hold of a wt cd from at least as far back as 2009, it might be in an article from the 60s or 70s

  i think everyone here can agree that walking down the street, even in the middle of the street, is not cause for having a clip emptied in your ass......... i can understand how the black community would be outraged by the injustice of seeing another black man dead in the street at the hands of the police under mysterious circumstances....... i hope that i'm not succumbing to the attempts to assinate the already well impuned character of the dead man...... however.

  i can't help but think that this could all have been avoided by exercising the proper discretion with fore-knowledge of the disadvantages people of color have when they are dealing with law enforcement in the united states.

  it is not as if this disadvantage has only since recently came to light.

  these days the police think they are above the law, most of them have no respect for people in general, they have a mentality before they even enter the police academy

  of being bullies or they are people who like to control others .

  I for one cannot get over whats gong on in this county and the world in general ,people get more stupid as each generation is born.

  when police chases that are entirely unnecesary result in deaths of innocent bystanders, and officers grab a man for selling stupid cigaretts, instead of simply writing him up a ticket, when there is much more pressing issues to be dealt with, i know i live in a world that wont last much longer.

  get ready for the 6th extinction.

  i am currently an skeptic, but i have to admit that i can't assure that all the stuff of early christianity was false.. for instance, we know that the genuine letters of paul were written before the destruction of jerusalem.

  so, paul affirmed that jesus resurrected, though he was not there when it supposedly happened.

  but, if jesus did not resurrect, why didn't the jews expose this falsehood?.

  after reading many things, and yet always thinking if God is so powerful , you would thnk here would be mountains of evidence for the proof of jesus. and that the bible after thousands of years would not be so controversial, its never made selse, theres info in it humans would not have needed to know if all we needed to have was faith in jesus. too many contradictions, and no real logic for all the goofy things the people had to do.

  i posted on yahoo answers, a question similar to this, cant recall my exact words,

  what proof is there of what happened in luke about jesus healing the crowds of people, after all there should be many historians that have written down this event,

  the anwsers i got were many and pretty hepful , and really, not surprising. lots of references ot readings from , the christ conspiracy the greatest story ever told. and also reading bart ehrmans books. and some others

  no one has any proof this jesus christ exsisted.

  and now the new info is that romes govt at the time made it all up to control the people.

  maybe thats what they are hidng in the vadican.

  there is a docmentary or book called ceasars messiah. sounds interesting.

  i've had quite a few things on my mind over the past few years, mainly my belief in god.

  i've tried to move on from the jw past but that's really being foolish.

  I was speaking to an old freind of mine who still is in the org, she said to me that were misfits of society, we dont belong anywhere.

  well i know how she feels, but i know what my problem is, im not busy enough. due to my current health situation im home too much, plus my mother is a jw and i see her all the time so its always in my face, she is a preachy person. shes 73 otherwise id argue with her.

  having a job for me where i can meet people would be great. or taking adult learning classes at my local college.

  i have too much time on my hands to think about it and do research. so maybe you need to be busier. lol

  the last thing Id want to do is let new people I meet know i was a jws, it instantly puts an image in ther minds. they form an idea.

  and an association i dont want.

  if religion happens to come up in conversation, then maybe,maybe, you can say what you once used to be, but otherwise, we have to put it out of our lives, because we cant change the past only our future.

  he more i research the more i discover logical and believable info, but troubling,

  [for ex. the info that jesus never exsisted to begin with.]

  but thing is I know a lot of people that are not jws and they have very few freinds as well, its seems that this computer and cell phone age has ruined peoples ability and desire to gather together . there are so many lonely people in the world, and it makes no sense to me.

  here we all are living next to each other working and worhsiping, and yet no one has time for a few hours of social relaxation ?

  we ave our kids sitting in the house on their cell phones texting for hours, and not hanging out together!

  so its not just jws that have the problem with getting off thier a@@ and inviting people over or going ot the park to play games or something.

  we have to make an effort to do something.

  I hope you can step out of your zone, and grab a chance to be the nice guy who does the arranging for fun,

  now, save some money, and go bowling, lol.

  pros and cons of anti depessants?

  obviously i'm having ex cult issues, family still in and a wife that's all kokoo for cocopuffs as well as our marriage isn't good.

  i would like to leave her, she has never been the kind of wife i wanted.

  anyway the stress is getting to be to much, thinking about things all the time and its effecting my work as well as otherthings.

  the site cchr.org [citizens commision on human rights] explains how damaging those anti depressants are to the body and mind.

  they ruin lots of peoples lives, there is no such thng as a chemical inbalance, we dont have chemicals.

  we have hormonal imbalances which are heped with herbs or foods or vitamins.

  wow thats amazing, get free labor, lots of low cost materials, or donated stuff, pay no taxes, then sell off less used or older properties for a profit.

  Now what i dont get, is this, How is it worth all the energy these men put out to do such a thing, to have to pay out so many ccourt costs?
