ok so shall all of us put our real self for our avatar? lol,
um, I recall, someone wanted us girls to model those yoga pants?
i can't help but think how many committee meetings this photo would have generated.
this is on the caribbean side of cozumel at a quaint bar called mezcalito's.
this side of the island is virtually deserted.

i continue to be saddened by the fact that i am married to such a selfish man.. i want to know if i am the only wife who has no say when it comes to using the house she lives in for activities including other people.. .
let me explain.. yesterday my daugher who is 35 got a new puppy for my grandaughter who is 13. today my daughter and son in law are going to help my uncle at a job, and my granddaughter wanted to spend the day here, my daugher said shed bring her and the puppy over, i laughed and said 'your dad wont have that, ill have to go to your house'.. after all it will 'upset' the 2 cats they will hide all day [like they do anytime someone including my grandchild is in my home] .. i already knew that he would not like it if she brought the puppy over, [weve had dogs so its not like he hates them].
he doesnt care if his grandaughter would have enjoyed playing with the puppy over grandmas house, where she likes to be for a change, and that fact that id like to see what my cats would do when they saw a dog for the first time in thier lives.. maybe id have liked to play with the puppy .. when i said to my husband that my daughter said she wanted tp bring them over he said.
hey its my update. I left and moved into a place of my own. i packed up my car, left the house and never went back.
I like my new place, its only two miles from where I lived. i really miss my cats though.
within two weeks, my soon to be x husband [ I filed] ] had taken everything he did
not want that i left there for him to use, and gave it to my daughter
to give to me. i hear hes rearranged the whole house.
the small amount of alimony isn't going to cut it. barely pays my rent.
. now I have to find suitable work. and where i love its all healthcare and retail.
I have no ged or diploma, never got one i got married.
I figured back then, like all of us did, hey God will take care of me. and things were fine for a little while. i never was in need in a material way.
and if i wanted to stay in an unloving marriage sleeping alone wasting hours pulling weeds and cooking dinners for a man who spent zero time with me, and got drunk every weekend, while i stayed out of the house till he fell asleep, then things would still be great. I would be getting a brand new car in 3 years. whoopdi do, heres your reward for sleeping alone being alone going everywhere alone, and slaving for a selfish person
a brand new car ! ugg. thats how some men show appreciation, with things. things are great but I want a husband who loves me, and shows it physically. being present with me! at the family picnic, at the weddings at the school orchestra concerts. at the ball game. doesn't every woman?
well, wish me luck, as a jw all my adult life, stay at home mom, and married from age 19, I have zero work place skills, and not the energy or funds to start all over. all I can apply for is cleaning type jobs, and with my back the way it is going I have to be very careful what i do. I worked cleaning for 5 hours the other day, and im still recuperating. my neck is killing me. Im 52 yrs old, Im not able to pull of an 8 hour shift anywhere.
I need to share my life with someone. so i got on a dating site. went on one date, i had to tell him so and he was pretty disappointed. he really liked me. but being a jw all my life i have no desire to be with a smoker, and he told me he did not, but he did. he was 7 years older too that sort of was not too great.
then id get messages, and id reply why i felt they did not meet my needs, a couple sore losers replied with berating comments
like, 'oh you have no education all you were was a 'lazy' housewife, living off a mans money,
your lucky to have been married that long'
bla bla. they have no idea how hard i worked or how my husband was. do i need that aggravation?
wow, girls, lets get that one and show him a thing or two. hes an a@@ . he things a clean house is easy?
so all men think that if you don't have a degree, and a big income, your worthless? whats this mentality that will not go away on this planet? I am by no means lazy or stupid. degree ged or not. im not 15.
hmm i thought having someone with you was a good thing.
So, How the hell are we supposed to meet people when we work alone?
I have cleaning jobs. no one is around. all the better dating sites want you to be legally divorced before you go on them. well its going to take 4 months before the paperwork gets mailed out, pa makes you wait 91 days before you file the second papers. so i cant even date? it takes a while to find someone special, im supposed to wait again? really?
grr.
supposing a man's wife has had an affair, confessed all and genuinely regrets what's happened.
the husband, after much soul searching and agonising, realises how much he still loves her and how much both of them want to rebuild their shattered relationship.. why should that woman then have to sit in front of a judicial men-only committee and give a blow-by-blow account of her affair?.
how would that make her husband feel, knowing that his wife is sharing intensely private stuff about her affair with several other guys?.
as a wife who was cheated on by a x jw, and then forgave, [fool i was , so i left him again]
Id find it to be no ones business. and if it were me , id in no way go tell anyone my affairs.
I strongly feel if a jw woman cheats on a non jw husband, and he forgives her, its no ones business but the husbands, he is her head [according to jw rules] and regardless of his religious standing, he has the right to tell her not to go to the elders, and he also has authority over the elders for his own family.
its a family matter, not an offense against someone in the congregation,
[ i m sure there were not two witnesses, lol]
and it does not need at all to be made public.
the prying into peoples personal affairs, is not biblical. only when a person foolishly allows themselves to come under the regulations of the elders is when there will be additional problems.
no matter what anyone says, if someone gets DF , they never ever have the stain of the 'sin' erased from the minds of everyone else. twenty years later someone will remember that one thing they did wrong, and not the multiple things they did right.
think about it,
If you don't tell, who will know?
so, some of you may have seen my thread from yesterday about my wife waking up.. we had further discussion yesterday evening after i sent her the pbs video on the abuse scandals plaguing the watchtower.
she was so furious and pissed off at wt hq.
apparently a close relative of her's was abused by an elder and the only reason he was reproved and removed as an elder was because he confessed.
does it matter in the long run for her to read that particular book?
maybe establish what she does feel is the bible truth, and then ask her if you can together read in search of christian freedom by ray. perhaps if she seen how a real 'Shepard' is supposed to reason from the scriptures, she might agree he was right all along.
that book, might just be the one she may rather enjoy , as it does cover a lot of the subjects in the other one. but it gives you the answer of how we are really free to choose how to serve God.
'ok people, we have 3 awake magazines with 8 pages each to pump out before the end of the month, no politics, no sex, no mention of education, no recreation, no religious topics, no medical advice, limit music only to instruments ' .
say the gb.
'oh a deadline, gee, 3 'whole' magazines, and so few topics, what ever will we print in them???
splash and simon, you got me lmao
omg really there was an article called tips for cassette tapes wow.
hey taxi 'get me outa here!' lol
well, this is a new development.
she broached the subject of ttatt tonight.
said i was right about the flood.
well if you feel certain that she will still lean towards Christianity,
she might enjoy the bible gateway website for scripture comparisons.
and in the future, a few watchtower examination videos they have been helpful to me.
but be selective in which ones you choose, and if you get her to watch any scroll them down or watch in full screen to hide the titles so she wont see them and tell her to have her bible ready.
hes pretty good at making one reason.
ive been logged in for over a week cant log out.
its like the hotel California !!!!
a talk was given by gb member david splane in the february 2015 jw broadcasting video.
he talks about unity and sings the praises of jws.
he points his finger at the catholics and says this about them (39.32)-.
these old men remind me of an older relative of mine who hates what he calls 'jap scrap', lol [what a moron] and actually wont talk to you much id you buy any car not a ford chevy or dodge , who is still harping over his view of how 'the Japanese car companies ruining our country', lol idiot.
they are soooo stuck in the past.
i am starting this topic because i was wondering, i see many who leave "the truth" are glad because they can finally have a beard.
is having a beard really a no go in congregations?
how is / was it in your congregation?.
cedars over on jwsurvey explains the root of that issue.
but I think its an old mentality, and of all the changes they have made you would think that one of them would be the attitude towards beards, I always preferred my[ soon to b x] husband with one, as he looks like he has no chin. it frames his jaw line.
there are brothers with acne scars that would benefit from a beard. lots of guys in colder places have to wear beards .
believe me I searched for any biblical reason for it and found nothing.
why mustaches are ok and beards are not I have no clue. i personally dont like goatees to me they put you in a stereotype .
personally I like a classy trimmed beard that's close to the face with a neatly mustache trimmed too. none of this weird gross thick food and snot catching long crap that looks lazy and unkempt. or a long lazy biker dude stereotype . unfortunately the longer beards now are associated with terrorists, so there is always something huh?
my son used to go to meetings years ago, he tried to grow facial hair so he would look older, he very young looking, he had a few light hairs on his neck and chin when a brother walked up to us after the meeting and said 'I see someone hasn't had time to shave today'
I right away said in reply "no hes growing a beard, he looks better I think, I like beards my husband has one"
the guy did not know what to say to that. lol
hey, every guy who wants to leave the borg can grow a beard
you'll be able to spot all the 'trouble makers' in the kingdom halls lol .
