Purr whined: " While I'm glad I found this site, it has also crumbled to bits everything I've believed in my whole life. I feel like the certainty, magic and wonder has gone out of my life. This has left a huge hole in my soul. Just what do I believe in now? Is there a god? I feel like I need god in my life, I just don't know where to find him anymore??? Help??"
By saying that, you never believed in anything but what men said. Try believing what GOD said.

why Jehovah's witnesses? not yaweh witnesses?
by purrpurr inthis i never understood, the publications say that gods name translated from hebrew is yaweh.
why add a whole bunch of letters and vowels that change the sound of the name completely?
i've often thought surely we would gain greater respect on the ministry if we used a name that is historically and verbally accurate?.

(1) I'm curious: why do you argue for the Watchtower when you don't even follow their mandate to stay away from "apostate" websites?
Me: Because they are not ny Leader, and they don't do my thinking for me.
(2)This is the hypocrisy of JWs like yourself. You argue for the rightness of WT and condemn anyone who disagrees with their theology, yet you yourself ignore their counsel when obeying it is inconvenient.
Me: So, to AVOID being a hippo- I SHOULD let them think 4 me?
(3)Why should I, or anyone else here, take you seriously or listen to anything you have to say????
Me: Why should I give a damn if any of you take me seriously? Are you implying YOU can't think 4 yourselves?

One eyed says " If you want to extend the meaning of the word abstain to a complete avoidance of any use, then the WT's current blood policy is apostate, since it allows the use of fractions. Not to mention most vaccines, which I'm sure you've taken, are derived from blood in one way or another. To truely abstain from blood in every way, you need to stop vaccinating."
And, I agree- and don't take their view.

The Truth stands, whether the WTBS falls or not, whether those leaving point fingers or not.
If one has come to know the ONLY true God and His son, and have faith in THEM- bad examples by org or JWs will NOT kill their faith.
If one has faith in MEN- it ALWAYS falls.

JWs: not creationists but believe in creation...
by TheStumbler ini've been having a bit of an email exchange with elder dad and i need some advice.
i thought i was getting through to him but i think my criticism and tone became a bit too strident in my last email and now he thinks that i am attacking him personally.
i think he has dismissed everything i said because he perceived me as 'overally critical, and rude.. .

"Creationists" is society's label for those who believe in the CHURCH version of creation: all things made in 6 literal 24-hour days. Adam and Eve living in Jurassic Park.
That is NOIT the version of Creation in the Bible we hold to...

I read " Crisis of Conscience" years ago, underlining all the errors and simply LIES.
If you believe everyting it said, you are both gullible and know little of scripture.

I'm PAINFULLY aware of what the Org says about itself.
I'm talking aboiut TRUTH.
They are two different things: The org tries to live up to the truth- and sometimes fails to do so.

What did Jesus really mean, when he said he had made his Father's name known?
by Faithful Witness ini am preparing for my meeting this friday with miss k. we are reviewing the bible teach book, and she is looking forward to "showing me some things about the divine name.
" i don't know what she might pull out of her hat this time... but that section of the teach book is so completely assanine, i don't even know what to say.
) what did jesus mean when he said that to his father?.

To pretend that God's Name (which is part of the name "Jesus") is lost is asnine.
He said it (Yahweh/Jehovah) would be his name FOREVER.
Denial is futile.
