Couldn't agree more! I sometimes daydream about the day that I see my families faces when the whole thing unravels. I guess only time will tell but in the meantime we'll just have to be patient.

Lets hope the G.B.never learn from their mistakes , refusing to comply with court instructions.
by smiddy inwith the recent case of the watchtower hierarchy defying the court to either produce documents relating to child sex abuse claims within their organisation, and also refusing to produce a governing member to appear in court to answer questions , not only shows their arrogance and defiance of the law , they also show their contempt of the judicial system of the usa .. arent they supposed to be obeying the bible injunction ?
" pay back ceasers things to ceaser ?".
"when you are hailed before the courts , i will put words in your mouth ?".

If we're going to go proper old school, has anyone had the pleasure of playing Commander Keen?
I remember when I was about 9 or 10 my brother and I built our very first computer from scratch and were obsessed with this game.

i wonder if this is put in force, whether the wtbs will comply or view this as more persecution?!

Totally agree Phizzy. As a parent I just wish they'd get their head out of the sand and tackle this problem once and for all in religious organisations. It frustrates me to see so many innocent children robbed of their dignity

In the short period since I started posting i've noticed loads of new posters (my wife being one). It seems from people we've spoken to as a couple there's a lot of JW's unhappy with the direction the Org is going, aswell as those who've had those wtf moment but not made any meaningful connections to the fact this is nothing more than a cult.
I welcome all newbies with a big smile

Smiddy - Those were exactly the words that Russell used. I brought this issue up with my mother recently who's been trying her best to make us change our minds on leaving (to no avail ha). She told us about the donation slips that were handed out recently with regards to what they can contribute towards the building of the new Bethel in the UK. I pounced on that with Russells remarks about not soliciting funds, and she saw my point, but still felt it necessary to inform me she was going to make a one off contribution rather than a monthly one, like that was any different. Apart from the fact that they're going to be cashing in on prime property in London similarly to the massive windfall from NY sales, this is clearly contradicting what the Society has always taught on this subject.

Warwick Building Project Fluff Stories
by bruh2012 intalking about an article that makes you want to throw-up in your mouth- wt-study jan 15, 2015 the offered themselves willingly.. amazing the psych job of selling your business, moving your entire family, quiting your job to be a "temporary" worker at the new world headquarters!.
throw your livelyhood away only to get the "feeling" that jehovahs is blessing you!
i wish there was away to track the psych job during patterson and other major projects of what happened to all the "friends" that sold and got rid of their livelyhood then and where are they now.. did you ever sacrifce it all for a building project only to be left with nothing after your "spiritual high"?.

Hey ocean there was an article in the Warwick observer that put the figure of bethel property sales nearer to the $990 million mark rather than $700 million with an estimated building cost at Warwick of $11 million (ill try and find the link). As everyone knows labour is the biggest cost on any building project. The wtbs is probably saving 2/3 of their building costs by using free (slave) labour.

Awake January 2015: How did life begin? - More misquotes
by Designer Stubble in
some might assume that a scientifically-minded person would pick evolution and that a religious person would pick creation.
but not always.. rama singh, professor of biology at canadas mcmaster university, says: the opposition to evolution goes beyond religious fundamentalism and includes a great many people from educated sections of the population.
.
end-of-quote in awake.
