Attending a same-sex wedding
by Samantharockeby33 inmy cousin, whom is not jw, but we have grown up together our whole lives has just gotten engaged to her same sex partner, i am very conflicted on wether i can/should attend the wedding or not.
i am very close with my cousin and her partner and they are very understanding to our beliefs and differences as she grew up with our whole family being jw.
some family members have already said they will definitely be attending and some definitely not attending so i just want some extra advice and guidance!

We've been out for 2 years now. For a good few years before that our circuit was full of brothers from all age groups wearing tight fitting suits, including myself.
No one ever batted an eye lid. TBH most thought they looked very sharp and smart. If I was to wear a suit now I'd still go for a slimmer fit. No idea what the fuss is about. This GB lot are barking up the wrong tree as far as I'm concerned.

Any regrets whilst you were in the Org
by Tallon inthe biggest regret i have is of 'shunning' persons who were disfellowshipped and for 'marking' ones deemed as bad association.. there's no way i can approach these people to ask them for forgiveness as i've emigrated to another country however, by this post i'd like it to be known..

Not having gone to University has got to be my number 1 gripe, oh and telling a number of people to kindly f@$k off and mind their own business, although to be fair that was more in my younger years. JW'S are so freaking nosey!

Same here ttdtt! We've been out close to 2 years. Stopped cold turkey. Got a few visits and letters, especially when our second child was born (about 6 months after our fade). Other than cordial hellos and small talk in the street nada, which suits us just fine.

Can't make this shit up!
Just 12 months ago I went for a drink with an Elder who was bragging about Chelmsford as half his family were involved on the project in various ways. His parents were sent home shortly after our conversation (clearly health and safety took a back seat) and his brother was only required every other week. I have no idea if he still goes up at all as I haven't spoken with this Elder for some time.
I just find it hilarious how these projects are hailed as Jehovah speeding up the work, the whole concept is so flawed and ridiculous.
If any of us are in a position to let this information loose on the r&f, we should definitely do so, as this could create some welcome ripples in the UK.

Be careful what you wish for (in case you want to wake up your spouse)
by nevaagain ini want to spare you a long post about my background.
because this topic is about something else.a small information is that i knew ttatt before i got married.
but then i somehow pushed it back for quite some time because i didnt want to change my life and it was convenient to instantly meet new people when you move into a new city.couple of years into my marriage and seeing all the changes in the jw my thirst for ttatt resurfaced.

What does a it matter if he's an atheist, agnostic, theist or anything else for that matter Perry?
I think that blaming you for her loss of faith is unreasonable. If she didn't feel that there was any substance to the claims of ttatt then she would have continued being a JW regardless. It seems to me that it's an excuse to cut loose and do as she pleases.
I'm sorry for the situation you find yourself in and hope you can move forward positively from here!
