IVe already heard some Bros predict that soon the mags will be abandoned and they will be told just to direct people to the website. But those all sitting there asleep when will they realise that their lovely hall that they helped built is going to be grabbed by the GB and sold???

i probably havnt spelt that right but anyway the other week a bro at my hall answered up saying that he had done research into the lives of these "rock and roll" stars and that he had discovered that they all belonged to a demon controled, satan worshipping secret cult called the illuminarte!

therefore we must steer clear of popular music because of the secrect demonic lyrics that it contains!!.

of course everyone nodded in agreement and the study conductor thanked him for his "fine" comment!.

their beliefs and practice's don't tally- tonights book study

tonights book study in part is about jesus throwing out the merchants and money lenders in the temple... how do they manage to tally that up with asking for funds for all their various projects?

it seems hardly a meeting goes by without some kind of money plea?

don't they realise that they are doing the same thing that jesus got so angry about and threw out of the temple?

can anyone tell me how to fly under the radar of the elders?

i have all my family in the cult and was brought up in it myself.

although mentally i'm out if i leave i loose all my family and that would break my heart.

i've somehow got to fly under the radar and not be detected.

i had a look in the library last meeting and my hall still has all the bound volumes going right back to the beginning.

including studies in the scriptures.

i thought the order from on high was that these were to be destroyed or taken away?

new assembly experience... what do you reckon to this one?

ok so aparently there was this young girl who wanted to study with the jw's because she loved the bible so much.

she asked her fathers permission but he refused, after much nagging though he said she could have a study if she was prepared to have one of her fingers chopped off.

he thought the is would stop her but she was willing so he got a knife and cut off one of her fingers... a little while later she wanted to attend the meetings and he said no and again when nagged said she could attend meetings if she had another finger chopped off so she agreed and he chopped off a second finger.

The thought occurred to me, how comes she didn't bleed to death? Cos she sure wouldn't have been allowed a blood transfusion (!)

apparently she's telling this experience on the platform at an assembly and she then introduces the man sitting next to her, who is her father! He's now studying and this is his first assembly. The girl is so happy and says she dosnt mind being maimed for life because she got her father into the truth and all it cost was three fingers and she will get them back in the new system! Oh and of course everyone there is no crying because of this sisters fine example! And isn't it so faith strengthening!!???!

Prolongs you know what I mean, why not have Jesus leading by example as a husband and father etc? What about having him face real problems like earning a living to feed a family and also be a perfect servant of god?

Actually now that I come to think of it, what would be the point of giving Christ as an example for all to follow and then only giving edited high lights of three years of adult life??

Surely it would have been a better example to have Christ live a perfect life until dying of old age and then asending to heaven?
