the brother pointed out at lenght about how david had wept when his son absalom was killed.
but that because absalom was killed while opposing jehovah that means that david was wrong and weak to greive for him.. it was applied to today by saying that if our children are df'd when they die then we should not grieve for them either!.

i have major health issues myself and as i deprogram myself further i'm getting so sick of other jw's telling me that i'll be cured in the paradise, new system is just around the corner etc etc.
of course i have to nod and look enthusiastic in return but inside i'm screaming with frustration!
i have accepted that unless medical science makes major breakthroughs that i will be like this until i die.

if you haven't seen it its worth watching just for the ways he demolishes the religious advocates he interviews.. the most worrying things i saw in it were the us senator who says that having a high iq isn't a criteria for being senator and also all the muslims he interviews who despite claiming to have read the quran also claim that islam is a religion of peace..

watching the documentary going clear, i noticed several parallels with the gb.
one of which was that in recent times they are focusing their efforts on buying property.

What happened to the faithful and discrete slave dispensing spiritual food at the proper time?
There are some congregations who are small and or poor, what are they going to do if they can't afford this demand?
what would happen if we started dropping fake check or bills inside the donation box of an assembly?

they reckon it will give a "fine witness".. i've seen it and found it really irritating, basically margaret keane is such a timid mouse that she allows her husband to take all the credit for her work.

I think she's about 99 now so there's no way she will leave dispite "the truth" having changed completely while she been in it.

I'm sorry to hear the daughter has been assimilated too, I noticed in the film it showed the daughter sitting on the lawn chatting with a group of friends and listening to the radio. Her mothers response to this is that she is worried about these friends of her daughters because they seem "rather fast" (!) Seriously? Chatting and listening to the radio?

I've seen it and found it really irritating, basically Margaret Keane is such a timid mouse that she allows her husband to take all the credit for her work. The portrayal of jw's in it isn't great but it does lean towards the angle of they are her saviours.
Which is probably why all the dubs are so excited about it
