Football (soccer for our American cousins) in Scotland was always good fun especially watching the local elder trying to calm it down. It got sooo bad they banned football between local congs because of fights.

I only set about a guy once in the hall and that was due to him grassing me up for smoking!! As I explained to him (while giving him 7 with no returns) the advice is to approach the person first not go runnin to the elders, you twat.

Good post by the way and nice to see the ladies putting their 5p in as well.

i am not posting this to justify my actions, i am doing so for the benifit of any witnesses who are unsure about there feelings toward the "truth".

i was a reguler pioneer for about 8 yrs, back when it was 100 hours a month, befor thet i did a couple of yrs as a vacation pioneer, they later changed the name to auxilery pioneer, and during the following 20 yrs i had a few intermitant spells as an auxilery when i had time to.

during my pioneer years i have given talks at circuit assemblies and had assignments at district assemblies .

I don't get the chance to post as often as I would like (don't always know what to say) but like you spent too many years in the borg (30) but stable now and having a ball!!!

Your favorite holiday movie(s)?

television listings and movie theatres are filled with lots of seasonal films now, and many dvds are also available for films from earlier years.

i confess to having a difficult time selecting just one.

among my favorites would have to be christmas vacation, with chevy chase.

A wonderful Life is the business and makes me shed a tear every time even though I know what happens.

Loved the Elf and still watch the DVD from time to time with the kids. "I'M IN A STORE AND I'M SINGING!!!" loved that bit.

Now the real Grinch is something I haven't seen, is that a tv show you get over in the States??

i read many "apostate" books before i left the "truth".

mentally, i was drifting away for years.

but i do think that the internet really made it easy to see all the evidence that overwhelmingly showed jws do not have the "truth".....was the 'net instrumental in getting you out?

I read Crisis of conscience by Mr. Franz then looked at the web, Freeminds and Watchtower Observer which really just confirmed my suspicions of the WT society.

Forget the last post, I put my brain in gear and worked it out, I am not the guy in the picture by the way although that is not to say I haven't been in the past.
