just found this site today and as well as being amused, concerned and shocked at some of the stuff i?ve found here, reading the bios and posts of other ex jw?s has in a way made me feel a little bit less alone in the world.

don?t get me wrong, i?m not an emotionally scared loner, it?s like i?ve finally found someone else to stand outside morning assemble with.

with the latest insider news regarding the awake magazine going to a monthly publication, now would be a good time to examine a brief history of how jehovah has blessed the organization by simplifying it.

1993 paid for literature went to donation-based literature.

mid 1990s no food at assemblies and conventions.

after being in the org for 20 years, being regular at every meeting.

i must have sung the songs hundreds of times, but i cant sing the first line of any song off by heart..

i asked my husband, kids if they could, they also cant.. can you?.

Sorry pal don't which ones, my guess would be ones about getting out of jail if there are any like that.

I don't think I dreamt it as it was a talk about not singing the songs properly and how some folks had went to great lengths to write these sooper dooper songs for us.

Rudolph the red nosed reindeer

had a very shiny nose

and everyone that saw it

they would even say it glows

all of the other reindeer

KM in 1974 praising people for selling all their stuff and pioneering?

someone on this site mentioned they got a km off ebay that praised those that sold all their belongings and preached.. does anyone know which km that was?.

interesting, when going through the society's cd-rom i noticed that the drama for the district convention in 1975 was about noah's ark and was something along the lines of "there's still time left!

I was 6 when all this happened and my folks were sure I wouldn't go to primary school. Then I wouldn't go to secondary school. Then I wouldn't need a job as the new order would be here.

I remember people not having kids because they thought the end was nigh!!

You can see what is going on here can't you, keeping people hanging on with false hopes, it is simply outrageous!!
