you men, now that you're out of the witnesses do you still find yourself wearing neckties?
are you keeping them?
how about suits, do you ever wear them anywhere?.

i realize that threads like this have been done before, but i don't think that it hurts to do one again.. i personally appreciate this website so much.
it has been an absolute treasure-trove of information, research material, emotional support, and simple enjoyment.
and, it's free of charge!
Many thanks to all involved in the upkeep of the site
Cheers

i thought it could be fun to have a fantasy football league for ex jw's.. i created one if anyone would be interested in forming one.
it is entitled 'fortunate outcasts'.. you can log on at the site below.
you will need to register and then search for the league 'fortunate outcasts'.
Sorry not interested as this is not UK football but nancy boy American football
Hope you have a great season
BM should know more about American football
i have been writing my story today, before i joined the forum, and my friends linda and trev have encouraged me to post it.
actually, i found it very therapeutic to write it al down.
i hope it doeasn't bore you too much, as it is rather long.

my older son, karl, is leaving home.
it could be this coming sunday but, if not, definitely sometime during next week.. karl has been a wonderful son and friend.
leaving watchtower was made so much easier because of him - and his decision to exit undoubtedly prompted my wife, claire, to take a look at the damning evidence herself!
I missed out on Uni due to the borg but hey ho, I know there is still time but I get paid too much now to stop working.
Pass on my congrats to the lad, he will be well excited I'm sure and a big pat on the back to you as well for guiding him along. I like the sound of him already him being a drummer an all
Best Regards

my first cars were all "manual" and they were small cars, cheap on gas.. then later on in life, i spoiled myself and bought automatic cars.. last week, i tried a manual yaris, and wasn't that comfortable with the manual transmission.
maybe it's the fact that i didn't drive a manual car in 6 years.. just wondering if anyone here after driving automatic transmission cars since many years, if you would come back to manual..
I'm with you whyami, I love my Honda manual, you gotta work the revs to get the best out of it but the shift is soooo slick it's a joy to drive

i had an idea that i could build a uk map of everyones location which would show you instantly who is in your area from jwd.. (it might be an idea to do a seperate us one aswell but i'll wait and see if this one takes off first, or if anyone from the us wants to volunteer to do that one).
(and australia but you are all in the same backyard anyway - literally!!!).
anyway, all you have to do is post or email me your username and town and i will draw you on the map above which will change gradually to include everyone!.
Strathclyde will do nicely thanks

my friend marion, who i've posted about on here, was announced at last nights meeting as being no longer one of jehovahs witnesses.
she sent a da letter in recently, and of course the elders tried to get her to change her mind, but she insisted, and threatened to forward a copy to the uk hq, so they made the announcement.. she had a phone call from her jw son just now, and not a pleasant one at that.
he asked her how she could be so stupid, and told her that this was the last call of any kind he would be making to her, and she won't be allowed to see her grandchildren again until she comes to her senses.
Please pass on my warmest regards she is alot stronger than many of us on here I think by doing what she did by that I mean me really. Hopefully her son will see the light and get out of the darkness for all their sakes
