The Supreme Court in Brown vs. Board of Education of Topeka unanimously declared that separate educational facilities are “inherently unequal” and, as such, violate the 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution, which guarantees all citizens "equal protection of the laws." A year later the Court will order states to begin desegregation "with all deliberate speed."
Isn't segregating schools into hetero and homo in direct violation of this ruling?

I Am Changing The Word "Worldly" To Normal....
by minimus ininstead of making the difference known that anyone not a jehovah's witness is "worldly", i think we should simply refer to them as "normal".

As a rabid skeptic, halloween doesn't trip me out at all. I've got this cool grim reaper costume that I've been unable to wear out for the last two years. Both years my girl's daughter ended up going with friends' parents and I had to stay home handing out candy. I'm aching to get out there and scare some kids.

Pick one.....The lesser of two evils.
by Adam inif you had to be born into a religious family and stuck in it 'till you finally broke free, would you rather it be mormon or jw?

Ever get the feeling your just not "normal"?
by logansrun ineven when i was a dub i felt this way.
i mean, i would just stand there at gatherings and feel that i was in my own world -- that, somehow, everyone else was "in" and i was "out.
" i never felt this way at formal gatherings -- meetings, assemblies, etc -- only in most social settings.

are ther really more women? hm, yet all of the people in positions of power are men....huh
I was always told there were more women. Of course the men are in power, the religion is based (at least loosely) on the bible, a sexist book to say the least.
Um, ur, nothing really. Logansrun and others were talking about how the mind works and stuff and it just reminded me of my postulation. Kinda went of track I guess.what does that have to do with feeling like a misfit

I asked my bitch of a step mom (but my only "spiritual head" unfortunatly) one time if maybe the reason so many more women were "in the truth" than men was because the way that men think is that they use a lot more logic and women use more emotion and don't need as much concrete proof and reason as most men do. Boy did she get pissed.

a joke from my jw dad!
by free will ina brother gives his first public talk, but only takes 15 minutes to give the talk.
the elders talk about counseling him, but after some consideration, decide to give him a break since it was his first talk.
the next public talk he gives, he talks for exactly one full hour!!
