At This Point In Time Would You Ever Subject Yourself To A Judicial Committee?
by minimus ini certainly wouldn't.
and if the elders wanted to have a meeting with me, i would respectfully decline.
if the elders wanted to deal with you, would you talk with them?.

Marriage outside the religion punishable?
by Pattytheperfectone innow i know they have always discouraged marrying outside of their so called 'truth' but since when has it been a punishable offense?
my sister recently married and they are discussing wether her being married to an outsider will stumble others and if they need to reprove or disfellowship her for it..

Her husband ought to go with her to one of the meetings look those creeps in the eye and tell them to leave his wife alone. She's married, let them deal with the 'head' of her house. It's really none of their business anyway, and I believe that the elders will do anything they darned well feel like.

My daughter has fibroids and has lived with them for 10 years, my sister had fibroids and had a hysterectomy. I hope you will be feeling better soon, it's not fun having 'female' health problems.

Revelation, its Grand Climax.... remember when?
by wallsofjericho ini remember being at the assembly in 1988?
when this was released.
everyone was so excited that we finally had a simple explanation of revelation with pictures.

I went through it 3 times in my old congregation...by the third time it was torture to sit through, seriously, but at least I had the answers from the first two go-arounds.
I couldn't understand the - sting of the locusts representing the stinging comments in the watchtower - or something like that.
Anyway,
Take care,

WT recent public news release showing emergency support for MEMBERS only.....
by EndofMysteries inunder news alerts on the borg website, i noticed 2 stories, 1 about the bus crash in honduras, and it's interesting that it seems that non jw agencies have helped out when you see this statement...."we appreciate the outpouring of support from the community and the various agencies that have come to the aid of those affected by this tragedy.
so on this instance, it seems the wt welcomes aid from outside sources.
now the 2nd story, is about the hurricane in mexico, and we have this statement...."in the aftermath of hurricane odile, which hit the coast of baja california sur on monday, september 15, 2014, jehovahs witnesses from the surrounding area provided food, water, and medicine to their members affected by the storm.

US Zone visit: disappointing, depressing, discouraging
by sir82 ini will have plenty of "snark" to post later on, but please indulge me while i get this out of my system..... suppose you are the leaders...yes, the leaders...there are only 7 of you...for the one true religion in all the universe.. jehovah the god of the whole universe speaks to you, you alone, out of 7 billion+ people on teh planet.. you have an opportunity, thanks to the advancements in technology, to speak to 750,000 of your followers "live", and another 750,000 or so within 24 hours.. 1.5 million people!
hanging on your every word!.
this is the first time in history you can simultaneously, or nearly simultaneously, address so many of your adherents.. what message are you going to present for this special occasion?.

It was to humiliate those in front of 100s of thousands of people, can't do that when it's a one on one or inhouse.

Zone Visit: An Announcement That Will "Test Your Faith"

I was hoping to hear something inspiring, fantastic, and 'end-of-system' worthy, I really was. In fact I looked forward to the meeting all week.
1. Berating the Bethelites for being late was 45 minutes of wasted time. In fact, I thought it was cruel. If I was a bethelite, I would have packed my things, and gone home.
2. A father whose 7 children were in the truth is supposed to feel bad?? WTH??
3. Why so hung up on tight pants? This is not the first time I've heard that talk.
4. Here is another point which bothers me the most....This is not the tribulation and most of the JWs are able to preach freely. But the few that are imprisoned could probably be helped somehow. Maybe I'm dreaming, but what if the GB waved a few million in the faces of those doing the jailing...would that help those poor people to be released?? Isn't there anything that can be done to help them? This isn't the tribulation or Armegeddon, so why do those people have to suffer? I don't think that's somehting to brag about..as if the organization was under some kind of tribulation. I think the tribulation they will face in the near future, if not already is from policies they have made that will backfire, big time.
5. What happens to all of the money? Why don't the rest of us get to know where the donations are going?? And asking for money to build new KHs? I thought they were selling them left and right?
But, all in all.... for ONCE it wasn't about how evil the df'd and da'd ones are. Never mentioned them once, at least not that I heard. So, for once, after one of these 'special' events, I didnt' have to feel like dirt under the elites' shoes.
Just my thoughts.
Anyway, Take Care,

How to Knock Nazi Elders off their high horse
by suavojr inthe borg has many inconsistencies, when the topic is helping humble and honest people achieve their full potential.
consider a working man who works 40 to 60 hours a week and still manages to show up to all the meetings, participate, do all of his assigned work within the kh, but his ministry has slipped to 8 hours per month.
this same man is working hard to move up within the ranks only to get shut down without even knowing.. .

Got ratted out for celebrating Halloween...
by cognac inone of two things will happen.
i'll get disfellowshipped and never have to worry about being "told on" again for living a normal life, or; they won't do anything.. either way, it's freeing and i feel relieved... it will be sad if i get disfellowshipped but i've come to terms and made peace with it as much as can be expected.
it's a huge weight to have off.. was told on a week ago and haven't heard anything.

Cognac ~ I've been df'd, and my advice to you is, don't go that route, if you can help it. Just leave, if that's what you want to do. But if your JC is anything like mine, you'll be demonized by the JWs for the rest of your life. ANd it hurts, if that's all you've ever known.
