I hated the idea of being in subjection to another person just because of gender. That's what's kept me unmarried all these years.

- Are you currently married or coupled to/with a American/Canadian/British/European/Scandinavian who is also a white/caucasion male? Yup. A blue-eyed Dane. I'm American Indian and French.
- Are you happily or unhappily married/coupled? Yes.
- Why are you happy or unhappy in your marriage/couple? We are equals who complete each other. I know, that's sooo corny.
- If you are happy or unhappy in your marriage/relationship, does it have anything to do with the race, background or culture of your husband/partner? Or is it him, as an individual that keeps your interest or doesn't keep it? I'm in a relationship with him, not Denmark.
- If you are a woman who is divorced from a white/caucasion man, do you date white/caucasion men now? Do you exclusively date men of other races? Never married. He's one of the few white guys I've dated, however.
- If you date men of other races and cultures, do you do it because they have more of what you're looking for? What would that be? My preference for non-whites was always based on looks, not culture. I just don't usually usually feel attracted to white guys. The fact that the most attractive man I've ever known is (extremely) white is just evidence of God's wacky sense of humor.
- How many of you ladies prefer an intelligent, confident, independent and loving man of any culture to a dominant man of any culture? Me! I do!
- Are there any non white women here prefer white men over other races and cultures of men? If so, please tell us why N/A.

Enumerate reasons why the JW's are Hated or Disliked
by JH inmany people hate or dislike the jehovah witnesses.
the jw's think it's a sign that they have the truth.
enumerate a few reasons why people dislike them.

I don't hate the witnesses as a whole; there are a few great ones, a few awful ones, and a whole lot of in-betweens, just as with any group of people. Their religion sucks, though.
The reasons I HATE the Watchtower Society:
They shelter known child molesters.
They treat women as inferior beings.
They use ancient rules on dietary restrictions to justify withholding a lifesaving blood transfusion from a dying child.
They turn sex, in all its beautiful forms, into something dirty.
They force their followers to shun their own family members who have different beliefs.
I could go on, but these are the main sore points I have with them.

Family Coat Of Arms: Does Anybody Have Them?
by ColdRedRain in.
my family has 3, and i'm considering getting a tattoo of one of them on my right arm.
which one do you like better, and do you have a coat of arm's?
-

I like the top one best. I don't have one, as my family is a bit too mongrelized to trace the European portion with any degree of accuracy. I'm kinda jealous, as your coats of arms are very nice looking!

Ladies, what kind of fragrance (cologne) do you like?
by dustyb ini had this french stuff named "angel" by theirry mugler and it drove my g/f wild.
but it got stolen, and the downside of it is its 100 bucks roughly a bottle.
i don't mind paying, i was just wondering if there's any other good smelling cologne, because i hate going into stores to "shop around".

You're right, Angel by Thierry Mugler is succulent. My man bought me some last year after I told him how much I loved my department store sample; unfortunately, even a small amount on my skin makes him sneeze.
White Musk from the Body Shop is nice, as is Casmir by Chopard if you can find it.

Thanks for posting this, Sassy! I read it while the show was on, and I was able to catch the tail end of Prince's performance. God, I love that man, and I hope and pray he goes back to the music he used to play. I grew up on Purple Rain, and 20 years later I still think it's a great album.

Does it ever get easier?
by Surfacing inmy heart is palpitating even as i write this.
it was only recently that i was introduced to this site.
i had long had doubts but could never bring myself to peer over the wall built in my head about the evils of apostates.

Hi, Surfacing! You have no idea how much better it will get. Any time you start to doubt your decision to leave, remind yourself how they treated you-so hateful. I'm glad you and your gal got married; that's between you and her, and you don't need anybody's "permission".
Welcome to the board!!!

So glad you got to see the man LIVE! Boo and I saw him a year ago, and BB rocked the house. His band is excellent on their own, as well.

Things that really bothered you.....
by bakedmonkeepie ini was thinking about the "glorious" past of my association with the witnesses..... and i started thinking.
were there ever things that really really bothered you that they were doing, and it made you stop and think about what you were really getting involved in?
mine would be at an assembly.

The thing I always found most idiotic was the way males and females were made to keep separate. Like if a brother were to offer me a ride when I was walking home, I was not allowed to accept unless there were others in the car with him. God forbid we ride in a car together alone.
It bugged me because it pretty much meant that I could not have male friends, and I've always been so much more comfortable with men than with women. So, I had to be pretty sneaky if I were to have a guy friend, and that sets up such a wierd dynamic, very uncomfortable.
Don't even get me started on having to bring a chaperone on my dates! I rarely ever did, 'cause the big slurpy kiss I got when Brother Hottie dropped me off was the most excitement I got all week, and chaperones really put the kibosh on that!

When I was 15 and starving (I'd left home to escape abuse) this really cool young guy, who was raised in the borg but not baptised yet, actually asked me how I was doing. When I said I was ok, he said Bulls@#t, how come you look so yellow?" and then made me some food. I mean, of my whole congregation, he was the only one to really concern himself with my plight.
After that, he fed me a lot, and occasionally gave me a ride when I had no transportation. He checked out my first apartment to be sure it was secure and safe. He even gave me some work in his family's business so I could make a few bucks. Never once took advantage of me, even when I developed a crush on him for a few months. He was one of the most humane people I've known, and I never was able to tell him how much his kindness meant to me.
