time to pick on the guys!
i was an adult when i was conned into the corporate cult known as jehovahs witnesses.
before that time i hung with a rough crowd of guys who carried guns and did bad things to people they didn't like, or who were stupid enough to let these guys know they disliked them.
Why, if a man is effeminate, do we assume that he is gay? I know lots of guys, straight, gay, and bi, and there is no rule they follow. By this I mean, some of the straight guys are kinda quiet and sensitive, some of the gay guys are macho, a couple fit the stereotypes. My dear friend Eddie is a tough, macho, redneck mofo who drinks Guinness and watches football, and has a boyfriend.
Sorry, I know I'm getting preachy again, but it's just not true that effeminate=gay, or macho=straight.
i am riding on the same bus carrying a butt-load of x-jw's who take exception to the lies and mind-f@#%ing of the org.
i was blasted by some for asserting that there are hidden and subliminal images in the illustrations used in the wt publications, and that is fine.
i also understand that there are more important issues than hidden images in the wt publications.
Sometime, we just need to vent, and to talk about trivial stuff. Most of the threads have fairly descriptive titles, so if you see something that seems too silly for you to be interested in, simply don't read it. This is not a Kingdom Hall, and we all have the freedom to discuss what we like, and to disagree, and to debate, and to not participate. However, some areas of the forum, such as "Bible Research and Study Articles" may be more suited to your taste, and you may enjoy some of the informative threads you'll find there. It's so nice to know that there is something for everyone, isn't it?
i remember finding 2 week old lottery tickets in a elders car i was working on.
he said they must have been from the previous owner.
he owned the car for over a year and a half and the lottery tickets were just a little over two weeks old.
Well, this hardly compares to some of the other stories here, but I once worked at a restaurant as a cook. The waitresses kept talking about this waiter on another shift who was a real player, although it was unclear whether or not he actually slept with any of them, or just talked like he did. I finally got to meet him. Turns out, it was a local elder.
Also, at a retail store where I worked, my boss mentioned Jehovah's Witnesses, said he would never accept their literature, because the two worst customers we had were dubs, an elder and his wife in fact. When they would special order cases of Atkins bars, and they would fail to arrive because the manufacturer was out of stock, they would start yelling at my boss and telling him to "get off his lazy ass and drive to the factory and get it, dammit!" The factory was a ten-hour drive away. Next time they came in, I slipped around the corner so they couldn't see me, and I heard the whole thing. The looks on their faces when I came around the corner were priceless!
a friend of mine gave me a free ticket to a lap dance club tonight, and ive just got back from there.
its the first time i've ever been to one so i was intrigued as to what it was all about.
after going there i dont know what to make of it.
About once a year, my honey goes to a strip club with guys from his job, usually when someone just got a promotion or is retiring. I tell him to have fun, tip the ladies well, and call me or a taxi if there is no designated driver. Other men's girlfriends or wives always get so immature about it, calling constantly on the cell phone, waiting in the parking lot to see if they come out with one of the dancers, etc. This behavior does not make the guys not go to strip clubs, it just makes them sneaky about it!
So my guy knows that it's ok, and he tells me funny stories when he comes home, and considers me to be the coolest girlfriend in the world. Honestly, what's the harm in looking at some woman's jiggle once in a while, as long as it's me he comes home to? But we both agree that lap dances are going too far, and he does not get them.
I'd go to a strip club myself, to see guys dance, but only if I had a bunch of friends with me. If the opportunity presents itself, I would give it a shot.
i dated a number of witness girls, but none of those relationships went anyware.
however, as a younger, active jw, i also went out with a few ?worldly?
girls from school and work.
When I first started drifting away (it took me years!), I very briefly dated a guy who turned out to be very creepy; he sort of confirmed everything I'd been told about awful worldly people. Then I found a really nice guy, very friendly. Too friendly, as it turned out, as he was a professional stripper and used this to justify his general sluttiness.
Then I met someone wonderful. He is the first one I've been comfortable introducing to witness friends, and we've been together for a few years now.
here's a confessional for those who would like to admit to anything:
1) i absolutely love buffy the vampire slayer - sure i'm almost 35, married with a 2 year old, with a degree in history.
now with season 6 coming out on dvd i have 200+ hours!
I have wasted about 1,000 hours of my life playing The Sims.

I have a large, framed photograph of my deceased cat on the wall. Well, she was alive when the picture was taken, but some people still find it odd.

Aw, Joysome, I wish you all the best! I lost a bunch of weight a while back (I'd gained it mostly due to a health problem I'd had, but also because I do love Ben and Jerrie's). It was so much fun buying sexy little outfits and having the guys check me out. You're going to love it, and how much better you feel all over-lots more energy, breathing easier, all of it.
Your mom is rightly concerned about her little girl having a major surgery, but she does not have the right to add to your stress by projecting her fears to you. If you need blood, have it. If you meet a nice guy, give him a chance. Just remember, though, that the guys who only want to get to know you when you have a "perfect" body, are not worth your time. Do it for yourself only. Congratulations!

personally, the latest trend in my area is school bus driver as well as school bus monitor.
i can think of six jws who drive school buses and two who are monitors.
so look where no education got them, scrubbin toilets........
Not to pick on ya, Dusty, but my little cleaning enterprise is putting me through business school. I schedule jobs around my classes, clear my schedule when I need to (ie, for finals week) and, I happen to make about twice as much as when I was a grocery store manager. Just because someone has what some on this board consider a menial job, does not mean that they are stupid, lazy, or lacking in ambition.
