well, my teenage boys, and husband ( he is worse then the 2 kids ) play Tiger Woods golf on their play station2, and hook it up to the internet and play with all kinds of people on line....

I did not relise you could do this, until I found my internet line hooked up in their bedroom....What the games are coming up with now, just blows me away....

I also noticed on this game, that you can make the player look just like yourself....You make all features/gestures just like your own....I almost fell to the floor when I walked into their room and found my kids and hubby playing this game and they all looked just like them....Now I know why, the game cost 80.00 bucks....

Bad News Today

my mom's nursing home called today to tell me that the doctor recommended that she go on hospice care.

they said she has entered the last stage of alzheimer's and is not taking in nutrients, just liquids.

i'm going there tomorrow morning to fill out the necessary release forms.

why is it at times this place is hopin with posters eager to speak and spend more time here?

what causes it to lag and move slow with less excitment?

As another poster said, you do not have to put up with ANY abuse...Please see if there is someone that can help you in your area...Start with the blue pages in the phone book..Look under Abuse..

Dont feel quilty as well about helping you son...No matter what our childrens age, we still have that need to help and protect them..

OK, I actually Saw the Passion

just came home from seeing...the passion...after the movie there was a question and answer session with two rabbis that viewed it with us...and three priests from my parish...more on that at another time...though both rabbis said in their opinion the movie is not antisemetic, but that it could (would) stir up antisemetic feelings in those who already possessed them.. the movie was an overall good one.

it was interesting trying to figure out some of the symbolism...what did the baby represent???

i think i know, but i'd like to hear mel's take on it.. pretty gory stuff, not quite what i thought it would be, but still quite yucky.

I am not much into seeing movies at the theater, but this one I may venture out to see...I figure with movies coming out on dvd's shortly after the movie is released in theater's, why remorgage the house to see a movie? I also heard it was all done in subtitles, Is this true as well?

Do you think this movie was really made on the "past of Christ" or do you think it was made by Mel for the $$$$$$$$$$$?

I am thinking a little of both.....but leaning more to the $$$$$$ part of it.....IMO

in the 70s the wt published that certain practices between marriage partners such as oral sex were wrong and could result in disfellowshipping.

we all remember the havoc it wreaked on marriages especially where a non jw mate was involved.

you can grab one thing.. before you start.....all your family, kids dogs cats pets are safe....... what would you grab from the burning flames, big "f" off flames....... just one object.....and forget about the family photo album, aunt fanny already grabbed that.....(and the camcorder)....... think hard, what one item/ object would you grab....... scoob (of the ask a silly question class)..... well don't just sit there!

It would have to be my childrens few keep sakes I have left, as we already had a fire a few years ago....

Then I would send my hubby in for my gold/jewlery .....Most of it was handed down to me from nana.....more of a sentemental value as it is very big and gawdy...

An Apostofest called.."Guess who I Am"

i don't really know what made me think of this......but i was wondering how good i would be at "guessing" who posters are at an apostofest......if it was a guessing game at such an event, and nobody knew anybodys names, and you weren't allowed to tell.

let's say there were 15-25 posters we are all familiar with from the board who have been around long enough for many to know them fairly well.

how good would you be at guessing who they are?
