witnesses have been trained to think a certain way.
"conversation stoppers" was invented so that a witness could change the way an argument was heading.
when you are able to "pick the brain" of a jehovah's witness, you may tend to get easily irritated or astonished as to how they reason things out in their mind......so......how would you describe the brain of a typical jehovah's witness??
its all brain washing.....jehovah this,jehovah that,jehovah went,jehovahs BENT.....
thats my 2 cents worth.....

this has been said many times before, by folks much more experienced in the "net world" than i am.... we are a loving, caring, trusting and wonderful community here!
oh my but what it means to me/us to have friends with whom we can share our deepest feelings, joys, sadness, frustration, anger, and need for companionship.
and to get together, share a meal, have a party .
good point onacruse,
I am very to new to the computer, and I have been warned about different things, but I will had this one to my list...Thank-you..

have any "faders" ever accidentally "outed" themselves by signing their real name to a post?
i'm really paranoid about that, and often go back and recheck my posts to see if it says "odrade.".

the recent thread about the 5yr old baptized got me to thinking....... i learned to read at an early age.
i was also in all the gifted classes in school.
i remember a great deal of the witness kids were in gifted classes.
In general I think most of the children were more intelligent when it came to READING,and thats about it..I just find this subject a hard pill to swallow. You see when I went to the hell.(I mean hall..lol) I, like every other child was made to keep still and concentrate.I was forever in trouble because I could not do it,nor could I read...I always had bad report cards saying I was disruptive in class, never finished my homework, needs to participate more in phs ed,and basicly just failed at everything I did.The teachers would tell my parents they need to see if they could get me some help, but my parents would always decline. Finally my parents went behind the JWS back and got me the help I needed. The doctors put me on a experimental drug to see if it would help and the jws did not want me on it.So my parents never bothered to tell them..A couple of months later, a brother dropped by the house to commet on how well I had been behaving..Mom and dad thanked them, and so did I. As he walked out the door, his commet was....See what happens when you put your trust in Jehovah.........Thats when mom and dad started to wake-up to there lack of intelligence.I just think it depends on the child,if they want to learn or if they CAN learn......it is hard to comprehand something that is not connecting to the brain.

i have contributed a few posts over the last 24 hours, and keeping with the apparent tradition i guess i should introduce myself.
i am an ex-dubite, after twenty years slaving for the organization.
i decided to call it quits roughly only one year ago this month, after a spur of the moment decision never to go again.
welcome Makaveli welcome!!!!!

.
not yours; but those of others you had the good fortune to watch happen.
my favourite is the time we had the co and his wife for lunch after field service, and my mum swore in front of them.
IVE GOT ONE.....THIS IS THE GODS TRUTH....I SEEN IT...
I REMEMBER BEING AT A ASSEMBLY HALL AND A BROTHER HAD TAKEN HIS SCREAMING YOUNG CHILD OUT TO WALK AROUND WITH THE BABY BAG OVER HIS SHOULDER....I WATCHED HIM WALK THAT BABY AROUND FOR GOOD 15 MIN OR SO..( NOTHING BETTER TO DO TO PUT IN TIME AT THOSE LONG MEETINGS)...A FEW MINS LATER,I GUESS HE FIGURED THE BABY WAS FINALLY ASLEEP...THE CHILD WAS OVER HIS SHOULDER..THE BROTHER WALKED FROM THE BACK OF THE ASSEMBLY HALL ALL THE WAY TO THE FRONT OF THE HALL WITH LADIES FEMINE PROTECTION STUCK ALL OVER THE BACK OF HIS SUIT............OMG!!!!! WE LAUGHED SO HARD...I GOT IN SO MUCH TROUBLE FROM MY MOM....I DID FEEL REALLY BAD FOR HIM THOUGH...HE HAD A SISTER TWO ROWS BEHIND HIM WHO KINDLY SHUFFLED DOWN THE ISL AND PROCEDED TO PEEL THEM OFF.... I CAN STILL HEAR THE LAUGHTER THAT WENT ON THAT DAY....AT INTERMISSION HE WAS HOLDING HIS HANDS OVER HIS EYES THE WHOLE TIME........NOW THATS EMBARRASSING!!!

i am so annoyed right now i could just spit.
first, some background info: my brother's mother-in-law (a jw) seems to feel as though she has some special connection to my gramma because they have both lost their husbands.
she's a good 10 - 15 years younger than gramma; and, truth be told, gramma doesn't especially like her.
GO STARFISH GO!!!!!
YOUR GRANDMA SHOULD BE SO PROUD OF YOU..
I CAN TELL YOU HAVE ALL CONCERNS FOR YOUR
GRANDMA...KEEP UP YOUR GOOD WORK!!!
