Nova Scotia declares STATE OF EMERGENCY..

we are in the midst of the worst blizzard of the winter today.. state of emergency.. for nova scotia has been just declared.. snow plows have stopped plowing and are looking for stranded motorists.. series 103 highway has been declared impassable... i'm bunkered down with my 3 kids..and can hardly see out the windows..they are all gummed up with horizontal snow... sincerely bunkered down with my kids.. special k

they were all just terrible, and couldn't stay on note.

OMG Sally, I am still laughing about that Korean guy...."she bangs" was way too funny...All the kids are walking around copying the way he sang it....As far as the rest of the show, it has been just wrong!!!! I think they could have picked better singers myself....Simon and Paula must have all had ear plugs in when they were auditioning people....imo

I Met A Fellow "Apostate" From This Board Yesterday!!!

yesterday, my wife and i met a poster from this board in new york and had a wonderful conversation!

i won't reveal who he is unless i get his ok but i will say that it was the first time that i've met anyone from this board that i had not known from the past.

(a friend of mine,ho chi min, posts here and i've known him for a number of years).

Talesin...I met Shera as well in Toronto....She is the nicest person, but wish I had had more time to get to know her.....

My first month or so on the board, I met some wonderful people in Toronto...Petty, outnfree, izzicool, Rayzor, Aztec, beans, Quotes, Sloan, Obwain, the list goes on and on.....There were alot to meet up with Vicki....( I reunitied with her)

On the 25th of this month, I am going to meet Morris....He is reading from his new book there with Carol Pope....Cannot wait to meet up with him and some other folks from the board there.....

If you get a chance to meet people from the board, it is the most interesting/entertaining thing to do...To have someone to understand where your coming from, it is the most uplifing experience one can only dream about.....Dreams do come true!!!

I just love meeting people from this board...I wish I had the money/time/health to travel the world and meet alot more people from this board..

A few come to mind that I would love to meet in real life.....Sassy, Mouthy, Simon and wife, Gumby, Sally, Nina, Mac, and even Min....These are just a few that I would love to meet in person.....The list is way to big to mention....

Never Told Anyone this...

... but i think it would help me to relate it now.. a day before a big convention in montreal [i must've been 8 years old] my mother, who was running late as usual, was trying to get ready for an appointment.

she was frantic and needed the bathroom mirror.

i'm sitting on the commode and i remember finding a thrown out metal flimsy paper towel rack in the garbage so, i pick it up and i'm trying to bend it around, my mother storms into the bathroom, grabs the towel rack and screams, 'you know i'm in a hurry' and bashes my head in on top!

Do discussion boards have any healing effect?

hi friends,.

i read somewhere else of the thought that discussion boards for ex-dubs, are not the place to heal unless there is proffesional help onboard.

I think that these boards are healthy....I think it also depends on the individual though if they need professional help or not....It can always be an option if need be...We are all adults and shouuld be able to recognize if these boards work for them or not....For me, Gumby your my professional help...
