the pope was admitted to hospital and on the national tv (rai) they were saying that he has an entire apartment right in the h just for himself, not only that but the room just below was emptied just to avoid noise for him.

recently a man in italy died because the ambulance could not find a bed for him in a hospital so by the time they arrived to the one bed that was available 200kms away he was dead.

John Paul II...I remember just HATING him as a JW because I was trained to. HE was misleading the entire world, and HE KNEW the Truth!(tm)

Then, I left...and really started looking. He fought to end communism, but for social justice. He was, like most of the RC heirarchy, way behind on contraception and women's issues, but he fought for labor unions, relief, the third world, mideast peace, and against the death penality. He takes the life thing seriously.

Not my religous leader...I'm a Quaker. But he's done a lot more good than any harm. Plus, he owns a copy of "Thriller".

beyonce' can sing and everything but she's sung 2 songs so far tonight.

i was just watching a sit-com and someone made a reference to boxer briefs as being a sign a guy is gay.

i like boxer briefs!

they are the best of both worlds... a combination of boxers and briefs.

TSA to ban lighters in April.

airline passengers, who already are prohibited from carrying torch-like butane lighters onto commercial aircraft, will be prohibited from carrying any type of lighter on planes and into secure areas of airports beginning april 14, the transportation security administration announced monday.

but the tsa is not prohibiting matches, at least not yet.. the tsa says it is considering banning matches, but will seek public comment before making any change.. the butane lighter ban was mandated by congress as a provision in the intelligence reform and terrorism prevention act of 2004, which was signed into law by the president on december 17.. the tsa said that after evaluating the security threat, congressional intent and operational considerations, it determined that passengers should be prohibited from carrying any lighter on their person or in carry-on luggage in the secure areas of airports or on board an airplane.. the policy will be fully enforced beginning april 14.. "tsa is moving quickly to implement this provision passed by congress," said retired navy rear adm. david m. stone, assistant secretary of homeland security for tsa.

"by creating policy to add lighters to the prohibited items list we are closing a potential vulnerability in air travel security.".
