  Opinions Please....Engagement Timing

  i've been seeing a very nice guy for two months now, every day, almost every minute.

  as you know it can become very obvious when a guy is about to pop the question.. i have been very honest with him about when i'd be willing to marry, which is to say not until i graduate from college which is still a 1 1/2 years away, of course i hear things like "well a couple can wait but be commited right"?.

  anyway i've bounced this off of my friends and have several opinions already but i thought i'd ask it here.. how long would you date someone before you considered accepting an engagement ring?

  two months is a short time frame, though...Try for a more middle-of-the-road committment first...bear in mind, I don't know the whole situation, but if he does pop the ?, push for a long engagement...you'll then see any changes he may go through for that.

  If he tries some sly way to get your ring size (notice any missing jewelry lately?) or has some intricately planned activity (picnic in this spot, this time, or a hockey game on THIS NIGHT) that's a sign.

  I ruined Thanksgiving

  had thanksgiving at my house this year with about 25 people.

  i decided to run over tile in the kitchen wearing slipper (because that's what intelligent people do of course) .

  BTW, my horror story...

  My Aunt has always taken pride in her baking, and promised the best pumpkin pie from scratch EVER. Hand-drawn and whipped cream...fresh pumpkin...personally ground graham cracker crust....

  Serving time....bland and bitter... we grimaced.

  "Uh, Mary, did you forget something?"

  Mary took a bite and froze

  NO!

  Groundhogs are Rodents (mice, rabbits, rats) and vegetarians

  Badgers are Mustelids (Weasels, Wolverines, Minks) and omnivores.

  breaking-up sucks.

  i'm going back to clean my kitchen, waking up this morning gave me a straight-out attack of cleaning desire.

  i lost that desire, but since my entire kitchen is covered in cleaning-soap, i cannot really stop it.

  I know all sports...used to be a sports writer. Like the CFL, but what's with the huge-ass field? Do you Canadians have to use up as much land as possible? GO BLUE BOMBERS!

  The Patriot Act was (rather, is) a knee jerk reaction to 9-11...I have yet to hear of one circumstance (and we would have heard about it) where any terrorist act has been thwarted by its implementation. I doubt it's really a deterrent, either. Pro-snooping laws rarely are.

  The most effective measure for fighting terrorists so far was Operation Enduring Freedom, when we basically laid their chain of command in peices.
