There apparently is no more “Faithful and Discreet Slave Class” of anointed ones; it now exists solely as the eight members of the Governing Body in Brooklyn, New York.
Interestingly, the Governing Body would like to come across as agreeing with that quote, “Jehovah can read hearts, while we cannot. This in itself is a good reason for us not to be judgmental.” HOWEVER, in actual practice, the Governing Body does, in fact, seek to ‘read people’s hearts’ by hierarchically directing all the organization’s representatives, right down to the elders, to “discipline” or even disfellowship anybody who dares to disagree with them or even just not fully play along.

The Governing Body may like us to think that this is the case; HOWEVER, try going against the Watchtower blood policy, and you’ll quickly find that they are only too happy to relay just exactly what the ‘Supreme Judge Jehovah’ has apparently decided in your case, and you will find yourself kicked out of their “spiritual paradise” before you even know what happened.
Remember the very first precept of a cult: The guru is always right, and you are always wrong. And also, of course, There is no honorable exit from a cult. In stark reality, the Watchtower is Jehovah, and it will always be only too happy to wield its God-given self-given power as judge, jury, and executioner on anyone they please.

Welcome to the Board! It goes without saying that what happened to you and your sisters is extremely disgusting, upsetting, unfair, and blatantly criminal in many ways. It should make anyone very angry and almost want to cry at the same time.
I’m so glad, however, that you are telling the story of what went on. It is a very positive and constructive thing to share it, as you are doing. My sympathies and also congratulations for coming out.
Two things need to occur in order to promote justice and healing:
(1) This must be submitted to the legal justice system; firstly, as charges within the criminal justice system; and secondly, as a claim within the context of a civil lawsuit. Litigation should be at least investigated, and I would strongly suggest a comprehensive consultation with a lawyer to advise on your options and the merits thereof. Such initial consultation should be available free of charge.
(2) Your story should be submitted to the general media, including newspaper/magazine publication as well as online news resources. This is the simplest option, and definitely should be done regardless of what may or may not transpire with a criminal case or civil suit. Publishing your story would be very beneficial, not only to you and your sisters, but also in informing the public of just what does, in fact, go on with many of these “elders,” who are supposedly appointed by “God’s organization” through holy spirit (yah, right).
You have to realize that now you do have power, and you and your sisters never have to be that kind of victim ever again. It’s now your turn to turn the table around in your favor. I strongly wish for you the justice and closure of which you are very long overdue. Please at least consider pursuing the above two courses of action, which are the most tangible and effective routes for attaining justice, closure, and, most of all, healing, for yourself and your sisters. Best of luck!

We had a very excellent discussion today at “Puck N Wings” in Toronto, for about five hours! It was just Kyle, Walter, and myself, and it was certainly mutually beneficial. This was actually my very first time meeting any “apostates” – I mean, ex-Jehovah’s Witnesses. It was refreshing and rejuvinating to finally meet with different people who have been through the old mill in JW land like myself. My JW friends just went from zero to, well, still zero; however, I believe my “worldly” – I mean, normal friends just increased by two.
My thanks for organizing today’s meet-up. It was the kind of “shot in the arm” that I really needed.

by inbetween inthe issue july 15th 2013 changes the understanding of the fds dramatically, and it was broiught out here and on other places this creates numerous problems.. here is another one:.
jesus is supposed to be the head of the congregation.
when something goes wrong, he is often portrayed as the one having control over his congregation and also that in time he will act, clean the congo and direct elders (being the stars in his hand).

That’s a damn good point! Jehovah and Jesus were supposed to have done a significant cleansing of the earthly part of their spiritual temple in 1919, ‘doing a cleansing and whitening,’ ‘refining them as silver,’ ‘smelting away the scummy dross as with lye,’ ‘doing a refining work,’ ‘like the fire of a refiner and like the lye of laundrymen’ (somewhat paraphrased), which is referring to the process of smelting silver and gold to purify them. – See Isaiah 1:25; 60:17; Daniel 11:35; Zechariah 13:9; and Malachi 3:2, 3.
It looks to me, however, like Jehovah forgot to empty the old dirty water out of Jesus’ cleaning bucket and replace it with clean, soapy, warm water. When you look at all the foolishness around for such a very long time after 1919, I don’t think Jesus would be asked again to go on that cleaning job. If that’s the way he cleans, maybe he should be put on landscaping duty.
(Secret hint: it’s all, as the English would say, a whole lot of bollocks!)

Jesus has been relegated to a probationary employee of the Watchtower Corporation, kind of like a perspective employee on that reality show with Donald Trump called “The Apprentice.” And since the new light about just who is supposed to now be in control of it all, the Governing Body (now known as the new uppity corporate version of the “Faithful and Discreet Slave Class”) has stood up in front of Jesus and said, “YOU’RE FIRED!”
So, I guess the Lord Jesus Christ is now really just a completely moot issue, gone by the wayside. . . . . That’s a pity. The dude sure could cook up a good batch of fish and loaves of bread for large gatherings in a pinch – we could sure use him at the noon break at the district convention. . . . . (Sigh.) I kind of miss that dude; he seemed to be a nice, alright kind of guy. All well – like they say, You can’t fight city hall.

Hey, I was just thinking: Wouldn’t it be really great if us “apostates” as a whole (or as a “class,” as the Watchtower would say) could somehow get together and actually produce some kind of simple printed publication on a regular basis that could be made available to people, with each issue containing a brief synopsis of references about the real truth about the Watchtower organization? (Sort of like the short list of Web links which Blondie includes at the top of her weekly Watchtower comments posts.) It could also have that little QR (Quick Reference) code box on it just like they put on the Watchtower and Awake magazines, the Our Kingdom Ministry, and even the new books. (You know, that funny little white square with all the tiny little black squares in it, which takes you right to the Website using the camera and the QR code app on your smart phone.)
I’m not sure what such publication should be called – maybe something like “Ex-Jehovah Monthly,” “Watchtower Rejects,” “Not-So-Silent Lambs,” or something else succinct and poignant yet creative. It could come out monthly in hard copy and Web issue, or maybe (at least for starters) just on the Web, perhaps in an Adobe Acrobat (“.pdf”) format. It could be fairly brief but could include some little contributed articles/podcasts and comments, and maybe even a list of upcoming apostafests in small print (sort of like the district convention location lists they used to put at the back of the Watchtower every year).
Yah, that would be a great idea! (Amazing what can pop into my head while I’m having my afternoon coffee.) Wouldn’t it be so awesome if the first issue could be on October 1, 2014? (Get it, 2014?)
Pass this idea around – great ideas (such as the ones from my mind during afternoon coffee) should be made into a reality. I’ll now take a sip of my coffee as a toast to all of you . . . . and, of course, to great ideas!

by Freethinking76 inhello ,i am a jw,been in the "truth " for about 6 years.i have to be very careful because i know the witnesses monitors sites and report to the elders ,i know cause that is what my blood sister does,she spends hours trying to find apostates in the closet.i know stuped.. so this is my situation.i have known about jw almost all my life and heard that only them have the truth,lots of my family are in it.i was the one taking too long to baptize ,i knew it was expected from me.and i always had a need to make ppl like me .so i took the dip.i started to notice that there are lots of jws that belong to little groups.i wanted friendship so bad and at the time had a need o tell ppl about my horrible childhood traumas i guess i was not over it yet,and needed some to lisent since i had drove my spouse nuts already .what happend this ppl pretend to want to be close to me so they can know all my business and then tell everyone at the hall.then you realize uhhh,they never confided their personal stuff to me.is like a game " you can tell me your stuff,but do not expect me to keep it to myself and do not think i will tell you my dirty laundry.a lot of mind games.. so i was alone ,invisible ,i still can't believe i put up with so much !
i can't wright not even half of what i when through.i feel paranoic now.so i came across a youtube video by jwstruggle and blow my mind ,now i can't stop researching,my spouse is not a jw,and is very shock too.so i decided that i want to fade,i guess it won't be so hard since the sis and brothers did not had a close relationship with me.i have kids and i suffer from pts ,anxiety attacks,panick attacks and severe depression.i moved to the next town of my hall,so i have change hall too.i have not been to my new hall,and wanted to know,will the elders in my old hall contact the elders in my new hall just to see if i am attending?..
my spouse told me " i will tell them i am not letting you go" "and "i found out that your liars!

You have to ask yourself what would happen if everyone did become aware of your attempted fading, and if so, then how much would it really matter to you anyway?
I know that the big catch is whatever close family relationships you would like to preserve. However, if you have discovered the real truth about the arrogant and corrupt Watchtower organization (as I and many, many others have, and it looks like you have too) and your personal integrity and independence are more important to you than whatever negative consequences might possibly be with your family relationships, then I would say to just go for it! Yes, in that case I would say to just cut the umbilical cord to that artificial and very much contrived “mother organization” (try finding that word, “organization,” in the Bible!), the ridiculous and oppressive precepts of which have been thrust upon people without question – cut it right off and set yourself free! Remember, you owe it to yourself to be free. And if any so-called “friends” can’t except that, then you know that they were never really “friends” to begin with.
And when that day comes when you can get completely out of the prison, with it’s spying Watchtowers and its secretive agents and informants, then you can just take a deep breath and finally say, Good riddance!
