I Am Officially Apostate!

i just got word through the grape vine that i am apostate now... i emailed everyone in my address book the vicki bower thingy and talk is that i'm apostate!.

please fully welcome me into your fold.

Congratulations. You are in good company. I find apostates far more interesting and fun than faithful JWs.

I'm with you. Unfortunately I do have JW family. My sister labeled me an apostate last June. Why? Because I told her the Elders are not qualified to care for and counsel the mentally ill. I reasoned with her on how unethical it is to disfellowship the mentally ill and expect their families and friends to shun them.

My ever so dutiful sister contacted my ex JW husband and the elders in my last cong. to report my "apostasy". Now I am being shunned by her and my younger brother. I have not been "committeed" for this. You know what? I just don't care anymore.

Welcome and enjoy your time with us "teeth gnashers".

Demonized objects

ok, if you have belief in the teachings of demonized objects than my photo attachments should confirm your beliefs.

if you do not believe than please explain my photos as so many sciences have tried and failed.

this is not a trick and the transformations are real and this carved rock is of unknown form, very high density, harder than jadeite and has been dated to pre 17th century or older.

Wow, where'd you get that graphic of MR. Bean Else? I have to admit that was unexpected and it made me laugh.

As for the rock. When I was a kid and not a JW, I had a slumber party and we had a seance and conjured up an invisable being of somekind. There were five kids that witnessed the things the being did. We are all still alive and we all are in our forties. One of us, my brother is still a JW. This being was intelligent because it did just what we asked it to. There definitely are beings that we cannot see that dwell amongst us. Are they dead people? Are they demons? I don't know. All I know is that the "spirit" understood English and did what we asked and it stayed in my bedroom for two or three months. I moved out until it gave up and left. It never did anything mean spirited to us. We were scared of it because we didn't understand who or what it was.

Once someone told me that "demons/spirits" have different personalities and do different things with their time. Some possess people, some mess with the government, some haunt houses and some play pranks like hiding Bibles while your head is down for the prayer at a Bible study. That also happened to me at my study. We couldn't find that Bible anywhere. Then after the closing prayer, there it was, right where the sister had left it.

I don't know if this sheds any light on your question. Hope you figure it all out.

Okay, well here's my two cents: I pick # 12.

It's an easy way for the elders to judge a man's willingness to conform. If he has whiskers, he is obviously rebellious and doesn't care what kind of example he sets and he should be marked. Because you know everytime you saw a brother in a beard you were thinking, "Okay, brother fuzzy face must be on the backslide." Not to say you didn't admire his moxey at showing up at the meetings in full facial hair.

Beards on a man are kind of like pants on a sister at a meeting. You see a sister at the meetings, habitually, with pants on then you just know this sis must be ready to join the local chapter of N.O.W., right?

Can I add a little thought to your beard thought? Since once women near the old midlife change of life, they tend to grow coarser facial hair, is there a ban on sisters with beards??Food for thought.

Not making fun of your mom, Mini. Just adding a little dark humor to a frustrating situation.

The pic is of Dana Carvey's Churchlady character looking very happy. I drew little paper airplanes in her hair with windows paint. I just thought it gentler than smacking her with a WT volume. Forgive me pleeeease. My whole family is into the dark humor thing. We use it as a coping mechanism. Sometimes people take us seriously, like when we used to joke about the biblebeating.

Low Meeting Attendance Means Wrongdoing!

did anyone ever come across the idea that meeting attendances were an indication of how much spirit jehovah was giving or witholding from the congregation?.

..and that this was directly related to whether or not there was any secret wrondoing within the congregation that was "blocking the spirit" and thereby restricting the "increase"?.

And you know that El Nino? Well, they sacrificed young men to ward off the flooding that would ruin their crops. That would work a few years and they'd get lax on the sacrifices and then here old El Nino would come around again washing away the crops and the babies, grannies, etc.

You lost your job, your whole family has had strepthroat for a year, your house is on the auction block, you're all depressed. The folks down at the kingdom hall are shunning you and your kids. You must have lost Jah's spirit. Say, doesn't your mother practice astrology? Didn't you get a bunch of presents from her? That's it! You have demons in your home affecting your family. You better clean all that stuff out. You clean it all out....get rid of everything. You still have the problems. Woops, it wasn't your mother's gifts afterall. Okay, what superstitious thing can we blame your problems on now? Meanwhile, stay the heck away from us and our children lest your bad luck rub off on us. Far away!

Hey, I think I just realized why you get shunned when you are still good JWs but have a lot of misfortune. They don't want your bad luck to rub off on them lest they lose Jah's spirit and protection and become demonized, too.

Was that an epiphany I just experienced? Me thinks it was. Eureka!

Instead of smacking her with a WT volume, you could take the tracts and make little paper airplanes out them, tiny ones. Then when she goes to take a nap you could fly them into her hairdo.

We used to joke that those ribbons in the deluxe Bibles were really put there so you could hold onto them and then swing the Bible around and wack people in the head with it. Thus you would be biblebeating them.

Maybeeeeeee...... some higher power maneuvered you there so that you could plant doubts in your bozz's head so he can begin his journey out of the org. Sounds like he isn't very strong anyway. Does he use the same restroom you do? Leave a copy of Crisis of Conscience in there. I mean, honestly, who of you would not have picked up C of C and glanced through it? If he confronts you, tell him you just received it from a relative or someone and find it fascinating reading. Then maybe he'll rush to his computer and order a copy of his own from Barnes and Noble because his curiosity will be burning a hole in his brain.

Okay, I'm kidding. It's a nice fantasy though.
