i often see comments by ex-jws that would suggest some men still view themselves as "head of the house".

sometimes comments from women appear to support the idea as well.. how many still see things this way or have you completely got over it?.

i do not think god is a'morphic.

god is not human, so hence he does not possess human characteristics, to know god better and to understand him better i study science.

there has been a new discovery of strange signals picked up from black holes and distant supernovae suggest there's more to space-time than einstein believed.

Einstein was abiguous and vague, but he denied being an atheist that we know.

He probably didn't want to provoke his athiest peers, and lay himself wide open for their public criticism of his very personal beliefs.

After being with an intelligent man who doesn't try to push me around, I am ruined. I will never be with that old timey thinking kind of guy again.

I found that the head of the household thing really just saves husbands from the trouble of communicating with his wife and children. What he says goes: end of conversation. Meanwhile, the wife and kids plot ways to get as far away from him as they can.

I have to say that most of the elders I knew over the years were nice guys and their wives were sweet, too. I only met one or two sisters who tried to boss their husbands around. One of them was my sister. My sister had a very domineering husband though, so she countered him a lot of the time. In their later years, the tables completely turned and now she is the tyrant.

if you were a lady and you were 55 and had $5,000 or less to spend on a used car, what would buy?

top concerns: good mpg; reliable; in not having major issues like ball joints breaking, timing belts breaking, etc.

That is good to know, Simon. I didn't know this about snow tires. Are there some snow tires that you can drive all year?

I know a fire rescue/paramedic here in Michigan. She told me that most of the ditchers are four wheel drives. She said the reason is that the drivers need to slow down. She said they tend to be over confident.

Oh, I don't know, I've seen some toddlers who did some very out of the box thinking. I remember watching my sister's three year old take all the security devices off the clothing at a store one day. You know the ones: the ones the store employees needed a special tool to unlock. He also easily removed child proof caps.
